I have also heard that back in the days but it was mostly about their untied hair.

I read Sarguzasht magazine and it has 10 sachi stories on the back. Dont know how sachi they were but there were alot of stories in it for jinnat and kala jadu.

:cb: Those sach bayaniyan… I think they also gave last story about a Jinnati baba from Hyderabad (can’t remember his name probably Inayat), who was involved in such adventures.

have you ever read or heard how they treat a girl who is believed to be possessed?

Yep. Read few times on how they treat. Jaali pirs abusing the girls said to be possessed.

There are two popular treatment. One is harsh and other one is kinda mild.

In harsh treatment, the possessed women is tortured considering that will make the Jinn run away.

The other one (mild) is dhamaal. Taking such possessed women on dargahs and let them move their heads on the beats of dhamal

Actually my phoppo was a mureed of a pir sahab. I remember this vaguely since I was just a kid but everyone in the family was to be hit on the face with rice 10-15 times to take care of the jinn on all of the family. That experience was painful!

baaz dafa wo bhi jinnat say kam nahin hotay...chuptay bhi nahin nazar aatay bhi nahin....specially agar larki ka bhai body builder ho :-)
