****Time and again lots of members have mentioned that we should have a Matrimonial Forum.
Do you think members posts are a good way to ferret out enough information about them to make such a decision considering that compared to a matrimonial column where you are given specific information this here is a platform where you do get a wider knowledge of the person’s ideas , thoughts and interactions with other members so you are actually getting a more objective perspective !
On the other hand how much of what they do post is really what they think ?
For those guppies who did meet their potential partners through GS , how did you come to that decision ?
Believe me..u dnt need a matrimonial forum, they are already doing what ever they feel like, and most of the time it is like “Ek nahi tho doosri sahi” and the most irritating this is that they like to involve ppl who have no idea what is going on behind their backs tooo!!!
There are a lot of aunty jis here…and more than that there are more UNCLE jis!!!

Acha so coming back to the topic…now personally I wouldn’t trust someone online as regards marriage in the first place but matrimonial portals are tried and tested and do match people up so how is this any different.
And there have been quite a few couple that met on GS and seem to have had successful marriages…so i’m curious to know how people on here perceive this portal as a potential match making site !**

I think it would be a good idea. You are always going to have bad apples that are going to ruin it for the rest but if people are actually serious and they are doing it for marriage purposes and not just to have fun then it could work.
well if someone is interested they can contact the other via or pm or mail or something......
but u can't have shadi specific area.....it just activates the 'troll/perv hormones ' even more...
unless you are charging some 'rishta fee' or getting loads of ad-revenue..why bother taking potential 'perceived' responsiblity?
GS is a nice place to meet people , but not a good place to continue that relationship . So yea start it online , but take it offline ASAP .

b/c you wouldn't see all sides of a person's personality online on GS. in a day a person makes 4 or 5 comments and then you don't see what their day is like and how they are in the nonvirtual world.
