Do you think members posts are a good way to ferret out enough information about them to make such a decision considering that compared to a matrimonial column where you are given specific information this here is a platform where you do get a wider knowledge of the person's ideas , thoughts and interactions with other members so you are actually getting a more objective perspective !
On the other hand how much of what they do post is really what they think ?
For those guppies who did meet their potential partners through GS , how did you come to that decision ?
We do have a matrimonial thread in Wedding and we have some folks who have posted rishtas. However, GS doesn't manage them, so the poster posts their personal information and mode of contact. I've had a few PMs from members who've gotten some leads via that thread. But really I don't know how effective it is.
I guess a proper interactive forum for matrimonials would entail more detailed logistics, more staff, databases, etc. And just like other matrimonial sites, GS would take responsibility but sor of faciliate the process of doing a "search." It can surely be done if the infrastructure can be established.
GS is a large community so it may actually work.
