I think sexist societies have always existed because all societies have set expectations related to gender. These differ according to the different cultures and some societies are more flexible about this than others, but the expectations are still there.

Is being sexist always carry a negative connotation? genders are naturally different, so there must be certain differences and different expectations. Can we say that the person who invented the idiom ‘jis ka kaam, ussi ko saajhe’ was a sexist?
