Well, in my observation, men seem to be expected to look their best in the same way that women tend to be. In interacting with acquaintances of my cousins living there, it seems that they don’t view it as a “pretty boy” characteristic for men to get a manicure (obviously not nail polish but just the nail care bit), maintain their hair and eye brows well groomed, spend on anti-aging/skin care type products, or be well dressed. Of course, I’m not implying that this applies to everyone as there is individual difference too.
