No, it's not about liking or not liking. You suggested he's some big time 'intellectual", I need the evidence.
Just because you can't find many google search results on something doesn't mean it does not exist. Mustansar Hussain Tarar is one of the best selling Urdu writers of the twentieth century (source Pachaas minute Geo) who is famous for his travelogues not just to other countries but to remote Northern areas of Pakistan. In fact he is single handedly responsible for bringing popular attention to the rugged, pristine beauty of our Northern Areas.
What's more I find him to be a very underrated writer. His novel Raakh is one of the most touching accounts(albeit fictionalized) of the early years of Pakistan and has been compared by critics to the works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez (now I'm sure you wouldn't question the "intellect" of Mr. Marquez any time soon). On top of that he is the pioneer of morning shows in Pakistan television. Any child growing up in the late 80s, early 90s will tell you of how they woke up in the morning to the sound of "Chacha jee" and its amazing how interactive he was with the kids and adults alike. Not to mention the depth he brought to the programme by virtue of his own talent.
Plus he's also been a playwright for PTV and had acted for a while in the 70s. I do recall him playing the hero's father in Ashfaque Ahmad's "Qurat ul Ain". And I agree with people who say that he is from a different age where political correctness, feminism, sexism etc did not really register and what mattered was speaking your mind.

I cant agree more... to whatever he has said! This makes a lot of sense... nothing sexist. And women start bringing their feminism complex foran se peshtar. Look at the pathetic quality of shows these women are producing... no intellect... no preparation... what would be the motivation to watch them anyways. See Juggan here.... she is constantly laughing or commenting in her bhand awaz... no respect for a senior who is telling you something better than your jhumkas and laughs... I remember Chacha jee's good morning show, pink panther and mickey mouse part, letters, home decorative activities and news at 7.30...! It was very classy.
Having said now these shows are only for women at home implies the ladies do not need decent entertainment.... whatever you feed them they will take it which is not really the case. Do you remember the radio shows coducted in early days of FM100... Sarwat Rehman and Nuzhat Hussain used to host morning show for women with enough decency and good content... what Nadia, Shaista or Juggan are doing is nothing but Maskharapan... better ask Johny lever to host us in the morning...

Mustansar hussain tarrar gave his opinion that he prefers male hosts over female/male hosts are better than female hosts. its fine if he feels like that since its his choice (good that he didnot name any coz otherwise than that would have been rude).
on the other hand i disagree with him, i think woman are better hosts (thats coz i have seen more of female hosts in morning shows compared to men). well even those men are equally good like tauseeq ahmed, kiran-george (not bad), usman-samina peerzada. in females nadia khan, sawera nadeem, ayesha sana, marina khan, farah hussain are very good. they are entertaining and good to watch.
Ps. whats wrong with juggans voice...it seems more phatti hui. juggan plz add some decency in your style of talking....and love faryal gohar...she is eductaed and speaks sooo nicely....awaz bohat achi hai.

I agree with him. I think Male guests r soo much better than female ....Nowadays , the female hosts r soo rouge...i like Jugan but she is too upbeat and always laughing .Morning shows shouldnt be just for entertainment where u just have to sit and laugh and joke .Its basically about the guests Promotion and about thier work and vice versa. I Never liked these female show hosts Nadia khan, Shaista and even Ayesha sana ( i think she is just sooo ill-mannered) even though she is a phycologist . The best Female show host is Farah on ATV . I think the way she talks and the way she starts her shows ,shows how educated she is. The way you talk also matters .Not just being the Clown.

It doesn’t matter if the host is male or female, the important thing is they have to act natural. The thing I despise about most of the hosts on tv is their fake empathy and the forced, fake laughter (this is especially true for females). There are some really good ones who you can tell are total naturals, like Naveen (Fuse) on Aag
