I don’t have access to Pakistani tv other than youtube so I don’t know what other morning shows there are with female hosts. I was thinking that this uncle had a point until he suggested that morning shows were better because they used have male hosts. He also says that there is one current morning show host who is male, but he doesn’t find him to be competent because he is like a girl.
I am a Juggan Kazim fan and I think she’s great as a host. It’s very rude for this uncle to come on her show and say all this crap to her face. I think he was just trying to provoke Faryal Gauhar. What do you think?

if a man says something constructive/criticises a woman, hes sexist. if a white man does the same to a asian, hes racist....if someone agrees with a mere policy of the labour party hes a socialist, if someone reads namaz 5 times a day hes an extremist.....and so on.....

lol he'll call u dumb because u used the word wow and ur a woman. he clearly states that he thinks talk shows were better when men hosted them. and also he says that he doesn't like the male host because he's like a woman.

Edit: I never quite got why Feryal Gohar needs to present her whole resume on every show, along with the resume of her mom and dad?

I think he is so right!!.... u gotta see nadia khan and shaista wahidi!.... jo darmian main urdu bhoolne ki acting bhi karti hain!!...... there is nothing sexist about it!!

and he is just not any uncle... he is Mustansir Hussain Tarrar!!... a very well known personality of Pak TV!!.... go search!

I am his fan…and i miss old days…

and yes..he is not being sexist…you women think that you are godesses or something…:smack:

nowadays morning shows are crap, cheap, copycats and immature…
all they are doing is dumbing down their viewers…

Only female host i like is that ‘sonia qureshi’ on dawn first/last blast…rest are just pathetic…like most of the other media persons..

Yep , it is Pakistan , you can be racist, sexist but not anti-government. You can have a noora kushti with government but not a real resistance or movement.

I know who that guy is and he's really famous and what not. And I can understand what he's trying to say. But apparently he doesn't know how to say it. He should have just called out 'over-zealous' and 'retarded' anchorpersons and not just aimed his dribble towards female anchors. So yeah, he's coming off really sexist. He needs to pick and choose his words a lot better. I'm sure he's more capable than that.

He is the pioneer in hosting and compering himself so yes his words have merit. I agreed with the initial point he made, regarding how unprepared and ditzy most morning female hosts sound, but only female hosts are not like that these days so its unfair. Its almost become a trend, set by the one and only nadia, to come across as a dimwit for the sake of entertainment. He has a valid point that maskharapan and hosting are two entirely different genres, a nuclear scientist is interviewed with the same casual style and non serious attitude as an entertainer would, with no homework whatsoever on his accomplishments.

the guy name is Mustansar Hussain Tarrar. One of the old host of Pakistan TV morning show. It was him, who started this trend. Quratul ain then joined him. Besides his popularity on Tv he is one of the famous writer for MANY BOOKs. he is well known for his Safar namay. One of the most famous is chaltay ho to cheen ko chaliye.

i don't see the young mustansar hussain tarar...what I see is an old grumpy uncle poking and pointing fingers in an insecure manner towards females. A lot of pakistani men are like that! they just don't understand the very fact that women are infact different from them but that doesn't make them lesser or an unequal counterpart. Besides this buddha khoosat uncle forgot to realize that these days morning shows are catered for women and not men.

i think so too......sahir lodhi is the gayest person appearing as a 'male' on tv...(nawaazish ali apears as a woman...and needs no mention anyways)
