Why are people sexist and believe that somehow they are superior to the other gender?

Is it a lack of akal, education or what that pushes them into this superiority complex state?

Don’t they realize that they have mothers sister female relatives that they’re insulting too with some of their views?

It goes both ways. One more thing though, most of them dont think they’re being insulting. It’s just that opposing gender may perceive their thoughts as being insulting though.
