Listen friends, its totally not worth it.
You feel a sense of guilt after doing it. If you have any sort of morals, you will choose the right path. Start praying five times a day and focus more on teachings of Muhammad (PBUH) and you will never have the urge.
Its also very sad to see some people here think its OK to have sex before marriage while in Quran it is clearly stated otherwise.

One thing to comment on here is the original poster mentioned being a "sheltered individual".
I think Pakistani parents do shelter their children during upbringing on the basis that if they don't know about sex, then they won't get involved with it. Not only is this assumption false, but it also does mean that the children are not aware of just how serious a sin it is.

ok something i felt yesterday and yes it actually got me thinking
went down to play some cricket with some desi kids ... and this is the only time i go around DESI YOUTH anyways, all these first year and high school kids had brand new 04-05 cars and almost every one was smoking weed and a few had dope and x-pills too. Everybody was just chilling and yapping abt whole buncha bukwaas but then i have no idea how the topic got turned around on loosing virginity .. i was really SHOCKED to hear almost 90% of them had lost their virginity on desi mostly muslim girls.
And if u think of it .. for the most of these guys, their mama darling gona go to PAKISTAN and will find them a 5 times praying wife who probably never stepped out with a NA-MEHREM guy and on the other hand these lil angels the innocent girls are probably gona produce babies with kids like me or anybody else who has allowed their parents to chooz for them. u know how desi moms praise their guls and specially when they even dont know nothing.
so personaly wat i stucked up wondering was .. if i do it rite and promise to stay away from it, is there any guarentee im gona find me a rite girl too ?

Initially, I had the same ideas, that we (Indians,Pakistanis, Asians) have high moral standards and looked down on relationships & people living together before marriage.
But now, I think its natural & OK.

I dunno about the rest but One thing I am sure about is that all these guys who oppose sex before marriage must deem that it's OK for guys to have it before marriage but not girls?anyway its forbidden religiously, but first of all most of the people are not staunch muslims secondly Religiously speaking one can be forgiven as well,, but its PEOPLE who neither forget nor forgive. and yes its very commonplace amongst Muslims but nobody has the gutts or decency to speak up and treat it as just that, a topic. and not judge the person who is trying to ask questions. afterall its natural for one to ask questions isn't it?
