I’m sorry, I can’t think of any other title for this thread. And no its not about porn.
I had the TV turned on in the morning and I was watching that morning show with Nadia Khan on ARY. The guest speaker, towards the end of the show, was talking about sexual relations between husband and wife and how later in a marriage, a lot of tension arises because of misunderstandings. The husband, she said, is really focused on his career during his 30’s usually, and the wife doesn’t understand that all he wants is to come home and relax. And the husband doens’t understand that his wife’s chir-chiraa pan is due to her frustration with him because she’s not getting the sex she wants. And she feels like she can’t openly tell him that she just wants some sex and intimacy, so she insults him etc to get his attention instead.
Nadia khan’s expression was that of “are you smoking something?”
The motive with this thread is to simply ask once again - Is Pakistani TV getting out of hand these days? Is it healthy or unhealthy to discuss these issues on TV. If its healthy, then shouldn’t these shows have some sort of rating? Or warning that kids shouldn’t be around?
PCG : yeah bhi shru hu gya !! yar i cant believe i was watching fakhirs new songs video and amna haq omg she was almost wearing nothing well for me thats how it was i mean short dresses in pak yeah sab kab sey shru hu gya?????? we go to pak to make alot of shalwarkameez nd other cultural dresses and wahan tu toba toba toba !!
Hey now, I dont think there's anything wrong in discussing such issues. Maybe some idiotic desi-fied pakistanis will take notice of common sense knowledge and try to make their marriages better.
But I dont understand why these people just dont use a rating system. You picked up the art of talking about sex maturely on tv. So then why did you forget the rating system?
PCG, first of all welcome back. Second of all, the title should have been 'sexual discussions on TV' rather than the one you chose. Want me to change it?
Secondly, it is not unhealthy to discuss such issues staying within limits but a rating system should be in place. That is another matter altogether that ratings dont matter in pakistan.
Yes Sara516, they do and obviously Musharraf is to blame for that.
PCG, I think given the topics being discussed on these talk shows, there should be some sort of 'viewer discretion advised' notice before the program starts. I don't necessarily think it's unhealthy to discuss this stuff ... but then again, I'm from here and am used to such talk shows on t.v. here. Mind you, as far as I know, we don't have a rating system here for controversial topics being discussed on t.v other than the 'viewer discretion advised' warning before the show starts.
Nahi nahi, its not evil. Its good. Guys should hear that. I doubt many guys realize that the reason the girl gets pissed is because she's not getting romanced enough. If they realize that its really that the girls just want some sex, dont you think they'd just jump on that opportunity?
Anyway, like I said, a viewer discretion warning would be nice. At least in that way, if I ever have kids, I can switch the channel while they're in the room.
Even cartoon network these days is getting out of hand, I'm afriad.
So according to the guest speaker, women have problems opening up to their husbands and telling them what exactly it is that they want.
If such is the case, shouldn't such topic of discussions be left for evening programs, so that the husbands can watch and understand instead of airing them during the day when the husbands are at work and wives watch it. Wives watching and educating themselves doesn't mean much, as they don't have what it takes to tell their husbands the problems that they are faced with. Unless, the wives come out of the closet (after watching such discussions) and tell their husbands what exactly is it that they need.
Yes, there should definitely be a rating system in place for many of the programs that are now being aired on Pakistani channels.
Perhaps we should all gather together and write to ARY and other such channels to implement a sound rating system. Afterall, ARY does advertise that the CEOs of the company do want to hear from the viewers via email.
and i thought that womens are upset because since men are so busy with their careers, so they would come home, relax and wants to have sex with their partner to take out their office tension and frustration. But women are upset and would be like, all he wants from me is sex.. Thats what i heard from alot of Pakistani women living here and there.
I cant believe a wife who cant tell her husband that she wants some more closeness from him..If they dont then they both are stupid... I think couple should feel free to talk about their intimate desires with their partner.. ANd i am sure if any women do that then her husband would feel even better when they are making out.
ohh i didnt really answer the question... I didnt watch that episode, but i must say that such things shouldnt be shown or if they are too desperate to talk about such things on tv then as saadia baji said they should rate the program.. or if not rating then they should atleast say in the begining of the program that this is the topic for adults not for kids... i am 20 but i am still shy to watch such programs with my mom....
i know my parents did and so i was born. in ur case, u prolly were hatched out of an egg or were discovered where they were searching for dino-remains :d
