Still early days for electronic media in Pakistan (desiland), but was the discussion explicitly offensive or just general? Cause, it might be a case of something new happening which may seem odd in the begining and yet be quite normal on western or Indian channels…
LOL, I saw that recording on ARY today. they are good at repeating old programmes.
khair. I also think they should have some kind of rating, and to begin with they can discuss the same topic in a what more decent manner. It found it awkward too.
That speaker is not even muslim, its a hindu.
And I hate the way she talks and I dont like her looks.. (no offence to any hindu) but I just dont like that person. She shouldnt be on TV.
what’s so “getting out of hand” abt it? well, i havent watched the show and i dont know how much descriptive they are to discuss but when you say “kids shouldnt be around”. maybe you are forgetting that “kids” these days have more knowledge abt sex than you do. and they are discussing a problem that exists. they are not discussing it for pleasure of pervs or kids.
the “kids” as kids must learn to face the problems of the society (no matter what kind of problem). this will make them more sensible in their approach later in life. why do we feel this need to “hide” things from kids which they already know of? I mean this is a problem. so they would come to see it as a problem. they do watch other sexually descriptive material for pleasure, dont they? (no, they dont watch it with your permission). so what’s wrong with learning abt one or more social problems related to sex?
lol. damn i knew i should’ve watch breakfast w/ nadia khan. i gotta give up good morning america. .. lol. and i love it when they talk about stuff like that cus they never come out and just say it.
pakistani women want sex?? wow.. by they way has anyone seen recent episodes of pyari shammo. i gagged.
No the husband and wife after marriage just PRAY without even touching one another…and then they get a call from the hospital to pick their baby…Miracle…aint that.!!
Yes I was being sarcastic. I’m glad SOMEONE got it
But really.. im surprised such things are even discussed in Pak. My family there is so conservative, so strict, I had THREE cousins ask me what was going to happen on teh wedding night before they got married… or maybe they were just messing with me, i dunno :halo:
first of all, welcome back pcg. We really missed you. Now as far as the topic is concerned, I think that discussing these topics in TV is a healthy sign for our society. As long as done tastefully, they can really educate the masses. And I wouldn't have a problem if I had a small child who watched this program. Just because the word sex is involved, doesn't mean it's inapproriate for the little uns.
Yes they do have sex, some are male and some are female, so ppl over there dont have sex?
One Serious Note:
Its ok to have these kinds of discussions but not in Prime time. Prime time is the time in most of the Pakistani households when whole family (parents, children, grand children, bro, sis…) sits togather have chit chat and watch TV and secondly there should be some rating system in place for these kinds of programs.
Whether the topic of discussion is appropriate for the TV in Pakistan or not, I will leave that aside. Nuff already said…
What I don’t get is the fact that they got it soooo wrong. It is always the other way around. Regardless of what career path a man is taking, what point of life he is at, how old he is, he will always be ready to get some. Its the woman who is always refusing. And that is the reason of her frustation that all her man wants is to get laid. What blindness!!
