Re: Sex-ed in Pakistan
When I was in school in Pakistan, they took our biology books, and completely ripped out those pages that had the remotest hint of menstrual cycle, reproduction, and stuff like that. This was a school that was O level, had all girls in it. I have heard similar stories from others that had primary education in Pakistan.
Let’s see…girls think that just hugging will get them pregnant. Guys think that orgasm are required to get pregnant, or intercourse with their wives during the flow period of the menstrual cycle will get them pregnant. Many teenage boys think nocturnal emission, perfectly natural, is a cause for concern and they’re dying. Now you’re probably going to say, yeah well it does’t happen. I am assuming you’re upper middle class, if not upper class, and have had access to internet from the very beginning, and so know what is what. I am not talking about you specifically here however. I am talking about those that find it absolutely shameful to discuss even the basic bodily functions with their mothers, fathers, or siblings and in the end women are blamed if they can’t conceive and other problems.
