Learning about gay people won't make your child gay. People are born that way, and learning about people with different orientations only makes one a more open minded and kind person.

I grew up in Canada, and I have to say the sex ed was fairly gentle.** There is certainly nothing vulgar.** A lot of the content includes things that most Pakistani parents would never discuss with their children anyway, so it is a good thing. To learn about puberty, different orientations, how to be healthy and how to treat each other is a valuable thing.

Considering close to 100 0ct of adult males in Indo Pak have watched porn, I agree with him that earning a living through porn is not as bad as some would have us believe. Good point. And those who developed the curriculum appear to agree. There is no race discussion for 5 year old. For that matter through grade 3 I didn't see any discussion on race. Even beyond grade 3 I haven't seen race discussiojs. But I am sure it come in sometime. Am sure u will agree race as a teaching topic is necessary. So u brought up a non issue. Same sex parent discussed in grade 3 - 9 year old I think. Here is what grade 3 is taught (from above link).

"By Grade 3, students will learn about same-sex relationships, which Kathleen Wynne, the first openly gay premier, said would help kids with two moms or two dads feel their families are just like everyone else’s.

In other words, NO explicit acts are being addressed or taught. What is being taught is if say Abdul or Ram or Mary's family has Meera and Laila as parents, it is normal. That they should be treated the same as everyone else. I do believe by the time a kid is 8 or 9, these issues should be addressed. Since parents don come for functions.

Glad you brought this up. Quite easy to address each issue with facts. Rather than what one thinks the curriculum is.

thats fine then. And honestly no one has time to go through school curriculum menu when posting here. I am just replying based on info posted here. And all I here is that they are teaching this stuff to Grade 1 kid.

As you said for Grade 3 kid, teaching its ok for Pam to have Jim and Henry as parents. Thats fine. No more than that. No sexual context whatsoever. I believe its parents job, they need to grow some balls and discuss this stuff with the kids before school does. They eventually have to face everything. Better be it from their parent.

Its up to the parent to instill in them islamic teaching of staying away from premarital sex and eventually its up to the kid themselves if they want to have sex or not.

No it won't work. People are even boning in pakistan where there is no sex education. Better to do it safely and some information.

This model is working just fine. Teen pregnancies have gone way down. It just doesn't work for you because entire notion of sex just makes your head explode. You are living in a western society. If you don't teach the kids YOURSELF the moral and values of Islam, sooner or later your kids will do it. Anyone kids will. Common sense. Islamic school is there for anyone to send kids just like there are catholic schools and jewish schools that promote their ideology. Send them there. Then you won't have to deal with this. Simple.
