A big part of the new curriculum that I have not seen discussed here is internet safety and “sexting”. It’s a huge problem for kids. There are kids who have been charged with distributing child pornography in Mississauga junior high schools cause they are taking nude pics of themselves. I don’t want to say technology has messed kids up but I don’t know how else to word it. I’m glad they are going to be talking to kids about this.

I have also spoken to teachers who teach kids from grade 5 onwards. The stuff kids are doing now .. we did not. It is a different world now. These kids know everything from a very early age.
