Sex Comic for Six years old!

Parents and children’s groups have reacted angrily to a new booklet which offers sex education for six-year-olds.

The comic, produced by the Family Planning Association, shows an illustration of a naked girl and boy and encourages youngsters to label parts of the body.

Critics said it is “too much, too young” but the FPA said Let’s Grow With Nisha and Joe is a gentle introduction to the concepts of growth and physical change and wants to promote it to schools.
The FPA said it also helps children explore their relationships with friends and family.
Chief executive Julie Bentley said sex education for primary school kids was intermittent and inconsistent and that the publication - which will be shown to pupils by schools unless parents opt out - would help encourage schools.
But parents’ groups are unhappy about the content.
Margaret Morrissey of Parents Aloud said: "We are feeding children this information when they still should be playing with dolls and toy cars.
"At that age, children are unlikely to have the ability to as the right questions.
“We have got to be so careful that we are educating, not confusing or putting fear into their minds.”

Would you read this to your six years old?

It’s interesting that this book is produced by the sellers of sexual health products not by the intellectuals, teachers and philosophers.

Also keep in mind that along with drugs and weapons, sex is a very big industry, so the more “protected” sex the more money they gonna make.

Also, the point of British sex Ed is that you can have sex no matter how young you are as long as contraceptives are being used. They call it “protected” sex.

OMG

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

horrible

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

did you look at the pdf, punch pai?

i dont see anything in there that i didnt know of (in my native language) when i was six.

And then they have no clue how to stop teenage pregnancies !! UK has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Europe !

and that is why their kids turn into dad’s when they are 13 !!

oh and did I mention some kids are even as young as 10 when they are caught on rape charges and they cant even keep them in the prison !!!

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

and there is nothing at all to do with sex in the entire booklet.

pure sensationalism. where is this excerpt from, hareem?

Oh good God, Hareem!

There is a difference between “SEX comics” and a book on gender/sex education.

People who think educational booklets like this result in teenage pregnancies ought to have their heads examined.:snooty:

^^ True .There is nothing about sex in the booklet :konfused:

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

:smack:

And what is that difference?

The meaning of the headline is that if there’d be a sex comic for kids, it’d probably look like this book.

So you’re completely fine with reading this book to your little kids?

Well, I don’t disagree with you as this book has issued only 6 or 7 months ago but one thing is apparent that the more they’re emphasizing on sex Ed every year the more teen age pregnancy rate is growing.

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

tauba!

(but I have not read the article yet - just tauba based on what you've said Hareem01)

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

the booklet seems ok till you get to the naked pics of the kids with private body parts listed, highlighting the obvious difference btw a boy and a girl. I feel uncomfortable looking at that, can't imagine explaining it to my 6 yr old. whats the point? what possible good will it do to encourage sexual awareness or body awareness this early on? let kids be kids, for as long as possible, let nature take its course. if you encourage curiosity in that department of course they will want to do something about it.

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

When my son was 4 (the middle one), he came barging into the bathroom one day as I was about to shower - some crisis or other had him all upset - and he immediately forgot all his other troubles because he was so concerned about where did my "pee-pee" go. Sheesh. He was beside his little self over it all until I convinced him that only boys have "pee-pees". I really dont see how kids can be sheltered from body difference, esp those with baby sisters yeah? But that doesnt mean you have to go into all kinds of sex ed or explanations of body part functions either.

 oh mama!!

I never understood why some adults took a shower with UNLOCKED door!!! Care to explain? I lock up even if there is no at at home! LOL

I am not sure where you got the 6 yr old part. This booklet is introduced in primary school, but does anyone know what grade ?

Re: Sex Comic for Six years old!

For those of you who are in favor of some form of sex education, even if it means labeling body parts ..

how many of you got that education at school when you were that age? And if you did not get that then how many of you missed not knowing the body parts of opposite gender from the childhood age, when the time came for you to know that at the older age

Our house is very old…and there are no locks on the bathroom doors. The boys know not to go in if the door is closed…but on occasion they have barged in on me if particularly upset over something.
