Setting ur bangs/flicks

hey everyone puhleez help me wid my bangs problem if i straighten em with straightner they get dead straight tell me how do u guys set em???

i have got this kinda hair style :

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

Try blow drying them instead, that should let you give them the shape you want. Using a straightner will do just what its suppsed to -make em straight!

Ask the stylist to use a razor to texturize the bangs so they are lighter and easier to style. After using the straightner which you should by straightening them away from the head instead of towards the floor, and use a styling wax after to make sure that they have a bit more body.(mix the styling putty with a bit water so that it doent weigh your bangs down…I used to just make my hands wet and get a little product and rub it in my hands before putting it on my bangs.

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

You need a blow dryer and a round or oval vented brush. Get a brush that looks like this:

Ulta.com - Hair Brush

thanks for all the tips girls yeah CA i was thinking to get tht brush too i have a hairdryer but not tht big wala round brush…i hate it when my bangs r not set :frowning:

Straighten them in the opposite direction to how you want them set, as in to the left side of your face if you want them to sit on the right side, like your sliding the straighteners towards your left and then they'l sit fine on the right, cant really explain it, but thats what i do and it works great.

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

^she is gud

omg me too! in fact that’s the exact picture I gave the lady at the salon who was cutting my hair! =]

Anyways, I have the same problem. Don’t everrrr straighten your bangs unless it’s just a quick run over with the straightener to smooth them down (but do it quick otherwise they’ll be totally flat!). The best way to set your bangs is to blow dry them and use a round brush to shape them. Don’t curl them otherwise they’ll be too round and stick out, but put the brush under the bangs and pull away straight from your head (but at an angle - depending on what side the bangs are on). Make sure you blast the roots and brush them to the side so the bangs don’t fall flat on your face but are swept to the side.

oh my gosh u tooo??lolzz even adrasteia took this pic though hers a lil different from the pic mine is a lil diffrnt too i have lesser steps as my hair r a lil shorter

**she told me to use **velcro rollers to set the bangs nyways i think am gonna invest in those rollers and a big round brush to blow dry my hair :)

ook will try tht too :) thanks

i simply love this lady she makes things seem so easy :bummer:

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

I used the velcro rollers today and it was so easy, you dont have to be neat or anything. I used 5 of the biggest rollers.

My rollers are bigger than hers, I used one for the bangs, two for the two sides and the fifth one for the back. Didnt do the rest.

Didnt use any styling products, after the rollers i used the hairdryer to over them and left them for ten minutes and that was all.

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

^^ and u put the velcro on wet hair na??

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

:@: no

Dry hair. I dryed it with the dryer first and then put velcros and let them sit there.

Re: Setting ur bangs/flicks

i hav da same hairstyle really long at da back wid long layers n side bangz..i juz iron em as u do normally n apply serum afterwardz..works juz fine

oh i didnt knw it dat u hav to iron in da opposite direction ..i'll try it

It only works if your fringe has been cut in that style, as in, a sweep fringe, as it sweeps across your face. You use your staighteners as if they are a brush though and only do it once or twice, otherwise it will flatten and sweep fringes arent supposed to be flat, need volume.
