And I would take the liberty to add - it is a lot convenient for me to sit on my butt and rant about prostitution and other social evils and even easier to act all Mulla McKenzie. What I need to ask myself is, what part have I played in their eradication or helping the victims? If the answer is "none", I would rather zip it and get back to watching my favorite tv show.
I definitely see what you're saying here. I have worked with prostitutes (field work), and I am a counselor and advocate for trauma/assault victims. I wish everyone would get off their butts and do something to help others.
