Game: name calling is strictly prohibited in Islam as much as Patience is considered the high point in it. We should not call others name too when they resort to personal insult by a simple logic that we should not stoop to the level which we ourselves do not like
49:11 O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.
Please do observe Kaleem Wahabi’s posts first Anwaar bhai. I was patient and was just asking questions. He resorted to his childish behavior as soon as it was exposed that he didn’t have any answers. I have another question Anwaar bhai, does Islam tell us to believe in fate?
First off, I am glad you are taking the initiative on trying to understand our religion. This is a good sign. However, as you have probably realized by now, religion isn't quite as simple as a list of do's and dont's. I see you have qualms about the fate of Mother Teresa. Now, I don't claim to be a scholar by any means, but let me offer my take on this. Anyone claiming concrete knowledge on whether a person will be going to heaven or hell is committing shirk, IMO. Yes we can speculate based on whatever guidance we have been given by the Quran and SAHIH Sunnah. The purpose of human creation is to serve God. Simple. Even in our huqooq-ul-ibad, the end objective is to please God is it not? Why, because it's only Him who will decide your fate in the after life. Now, throughout the history of mankind, He has sent messengers and scriptures. Therefore, claims of ignorance about the true message will not be tolerated and it has been stated that Islam will be only religion accepted on the Day of Judgement. Period. What about the likes of Mother Teresa? I don't know, but what I do know is that all the good in this world doesn't mean much if it isn't for the right INTENTION. And intention, lies only in the heart of the doer. No one save God can act as a judge in that regard.
Secondly like others, who have taken time out to post in this thread, have suggested I would recommend you do a lot of reading and studying. The internet might be good starting point but is definitely not the end all of Islamic research. Reading the translation of the Quran with Tafseel is crucial. I would recommend Maulana Israar Ahmed's tafseel of the Quran. The best I have heard. He is an educated and very respected figure in the Islamic community.
Thank you for that wonderful post. So, claiming that all non Muslims would be going to hell is also shirk like certain people have done here, right? In the end, it is God who will decide whether someone is good enough to be sent to heaven or not. I will certainly look into Maulana Israar Ahmed. Thanks again.
You are very welcome. To be honest, I was very skeptical myself when introduced to such Maulanas. However, Maulana Israar Ahmed was refreshingly different, and offered logical and educated justifications and explanations.
As for the fate of Non Muslims, I don’t dwell too long on that as it is fruitless and only God has that knowledge. I believe time would be much better spent on myself in strengthening my faith.
It is an amazing resource of free brilliant books and online video documentaries on questions very similar to the ones you ask. Lots of discussion of modern day issues as well.
Ever thought about this way… Yeah Allah SWT test most of his people…and might be he test the people he loves the most… Look at the test Imam Hussain A.S. went through sacrificed his whole family with three days of hunger and thirst in the way of Allah SWT and did Sijdah-e-Shukar… but look at the rewards for these people…

Could it be that Allah SWT while he test some people.. he have greater rewards for them in the life here after and the people like you said don’t get test much there might not be much rewards for them in the life here after?
