Re: serious issue of a family friend please reply genuine.
The truth is something that is only known by the alleged victim, the alleged abuser and Allah (swt). What happens if there’s no proof, but for this victim’s testimony and she’s telling the truth, but it can’t be proven in court? Does absence of proof or failure to get a conviction against this guy make her a liar and would Allah condemn her and her loved ones for saying out loud a truth that can’t be proven in court?
Nadz, to reiterate what I said before, this young woman may not necessarily be wrong to twitter about her contempt for this man, but she can’t think that she can just do this and not be questioned about her words. People will always talk.
But, it’s her choice whether responds to these other people - she can remain silent and not tell people about what happened to her. But if the guy’s family mounts a smear campaign against her - what then? Is she going to let them drag her name through the mud or will she speak up then? She can say she wrote in support of this little girl, but that may not stop others from saying worse and the truth about what happened to her may come out. Can she handle talking about that or having that known? Her parents and husband don’t want it known - it’s not their choice, it’s her own. But she needs to be strong enough to deal with this sort of talk - and it’s never going to be easily done.
