Alhamdolillah its Friday again. Today I will share with you guys one of the abandoned Sunnah’s of the Rasool

**أكثرُوا الصَّلاةَ عَلَيَّ يَومَ الجمعةِ وَليلةَ الجمعةِ فَمَنْ صَلى عليَّ صلّى صلاةً صلّى اللهُ عَلَيهِ عشرا

**The Prophet () said: Frequently send salutations to me on Friday during the day and night. Whoever sends one salutation to me, Allah will send ten to him.”

*Collected by Al-Bayhaqi in his Sunnan.Shaykh Al-Albani graded this hadeeth as being Hasan in Saheehah 1407.

*Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawzeeyah who wrote a book about the virtues of sending salutations on Prophet Muhammad (), listed some benefits for practicing the above hadeeth:

1. Doing this act is following Allah’s order

2. Sending Salutations on the Prophet agrees with Allah’s. And if they differ then our salutations are dua and request. Allah’s salutation raises the Prophet’s rank and is a praise for him.

3. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is an act the Angels do.

4. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raises your rank ten levels.

5. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) removes ten bad deeds and adds ten good deeds to your record.

6. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is a means to draw you closer to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Judgment.

7. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) allows him to return the same salutation to you.

8. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is a way to earn Allah’s mercy.

9. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saves you from being stingy in giving him salutations.

10. Sending salutations on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the dua after the Athan earns you the right for his intercession on the Day of Judgment.

**Recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays.

**There are saheeh hadiths from the Prophet() concerning the virtues of reciting Surah al-Kahf during the day or night of Jummah (Friday). These include:

(a)** From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

*(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471) *

(b)** “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”**

*(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6470)

(c) It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

*Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong.

The surah may be read during the night or the day of Jummah. The night of Jummah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jummah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this surah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday..

Aus bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Among the best of your days is Friday; so supplicate Allah more often for me in it , for your supplications will be displayed to me.” He was asked: “O Messenger of Allah! How will our blessings be displayed to you when your decayed body will have mixed with the earth?” He (ﷺ) replied, “Allah has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of the Prophets.”

**Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) talked about Friday and said, “There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand.” And he (the Prophet) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.

** Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
**

** The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Friday is divided into twelve hours. Amongst them there is an hour in which a Muslim does not ask Allah for anything but He gives it to him. So seek it in the last hour after the afternoon prayer. **

سلف صالحین کا طرز عمل

قال أحد السلف: " من استقامت له جمعته، استقام له سائر أسبوعه".
سلف میں سے کسی نے کہا : جس کا جمعہ صحیح گزر گیا ، اس کا سارا ہفتہ صحیح گزر جائے گا

كان المفضل بن فضالة إذا صلى عصر يوم الجمعة، خلا في ناحية المسجد وحده، فلا يزال يدعو حتى تغرب الشمس.

مفضل بن فضالہ رحمہ اللہ جب جمعہ کے دن عصر کی نماز پڑھتے تو مسجد کے کسی کونے میں الگ ہو کر بیٹھ جاتے
اور سورج غروب ہونے تک دعا کرتے رہتے

( أخبار القضاة).

كان طاووس بن كيسان إذا صلى العصر يوم الجمعة، استقبل القبلة، ولم يكلم أحدًا حتى تغرب الشمس.

طاووس بن کیسان رحمہ اللہ جمعہ کے دن عصر کی نماز کے بعد قبلہ رخ ہو جاتے اور مغرب تک کسی سے بات نہیں کرتے تھے

(تاريخ واسط ).

يقول أحد الصالحين: “ما دعوت الله بدعوة بين العصر والمغرب يوم الجمعة، إلا استجاب لي ربي حتى استحييت”.
صالحین میں سے ایک کہتے ہیں : جمعہ کے دن میں نے عصر اور مغرب کے درمیان جو دعا بھی مانگی ، میرے رب نے اسے شرف قبولیت بخشا ، حتی کہ مجھے حیا آ گئی ۔

ذكر ابن عساكر في كتابه: " أصاب العمى الصلت بن بسطام، فجلس إخوانه يدعون له عصر الجمعة، وقبل الغروب عطس عطسة، فرجع بصره".

ابن عساکر رحمہ اللہ نے ذکر کیا : صلت بن بسطام کی بینائی چلی گئی ، ان کے بھائی جمعہ کے دن عصر کے بعد دعا کرنے لگے ، سورج غروب ہونے سے پہلے انہیں چھینک آئی اور ان کی بینائی لوٹ آئی

تاريخ دمشق.

قال ابن القيم رحمه الله: " وهذه الساعة هي آخر ساعة بعد العصر، يُعَظِّمُها جميع أهل الملل".
حافظ ابن القیم رحمہ اللہ لکھتے ہیں :
یہ گھڑی عصر کے بعد کی آخری گھڑی ہے ، تمام لوگ اس کی تعظیم کرتے ہیں

كان سعيد بن جبير إذا صلى العصر، لم يكلم أحدًا حتى تغرب الشمس - يعني كان منشغل بالدعاء.
سعید بن جبیر رحمہ اللہ جب عصر کی نماز پڑھتے ، سورج غروب ہونے تک کسی سے بات نہ کرتے ۔ یعنی دعا میں مشغول ہوجاتے ۔

In the past I’ve read it for about 3-4 weeks and then stopped. I wish to become regular in it. It’s said that regular recitations brings forth peace, blessings, and spiritual openings. It’s the spiritual openings that appeals to me. I was wondering if anyone has read it and what kinds of changes they’ve experienced.

Fellows this is your weekly reminder about the virtues of Jummah.

It was narrated from Abu’l-Ja’d al-Damari - who was a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) - that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever neglects three Jumu’ahs, Allaah will place a seal on his heart.”* [Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1052; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 928]*

Recite the Quran and Surah Al Kahf. Send plenty of salam and darood on the Rasool Allah . Seek the hour of acceptance of dua between Asr and Maghrib.

Hadith regarding making dua just before breaking the fast:

***Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“There are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he breaks his fast, the just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed person; Allah raises it up above the clouds and opens the gates of heaven to it. And the Lord says: “By My might, I shall surely aid you, even if it should be after a while.””***

A humble recommendation:

Listen to the seerah of the Prophet SAWS. It helps to understand the Quran to an extent, it increases love for the Prophet SAWS and an understanding of his life, and it makes your durood recitation more meaningful because you will then understand and appreciate why we are told to send salam upon him SAWS. You can even recite darood whilst listening to the seerah; I recommend the seerah series by Shaykh Yasir Qadhi.

اے وہ لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! جمعہ کے دن

اے وہ لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! جمعہ کے دن نماز کی اذان دی جائے تو تم ﷲ کے ذکر کی طرف دوڑ پڑو اور خرید و فروخت چھوڑ دو یہ تمہارے حق میں بہت ہی بہتر ہے اگر تم جانتے ہو ۔

آیت نمبر 09

جمعہ کی نماز میں پہلے مسجد جانے کی فضیلت

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا

کہ جو شخص جمعہ کے دن غسل جنابت کر کے نماز پڑھنے جائے تو گویا اس نے ایک اونٹ کی قربانی دی ( اگر اول وقت مسجد میں پہنچا ) اور اگر بعد میں گیا تو گویا ایک گائے کی قربانی دی اور جو تیسرے نمبر پر گیا تو گویا اس نے ایک سینگ والے مینڈھے کی قربانی دی۔ اور جو کوئی چوتھے نمبر پر گیا تو اس نے گویا ایک مرغی کی قربانی دی اور جو کوئی پانچویں نمبر پر گیا اس نے گویا انڈا اللہ کی راہ میں دیا۔ لیکن جب امام خطبہ کے لیے باہر آ جاتا ہے تو فرشتے خطبہ سننے میں مشغول ہو جاتے ہیں۔

صحیح بخاری حدیث نمبر 881

عورتوں کے لئے نماز جمعہ

اس بات پر سب کا اتفاق ہے کہ جمعہ کی نماز صرف مردوں پر فرض ہے ، عورتوں پر فرض نہیں ہے ۔اس کی دلیل :
الجمعةُ حقٌّ واجبٌ على كلِّ مسلمٍ في جماعةٍ ؛ إلا أربعةً : عبدًا مملوكاً ، أو امرأةً ، أو صبيًّا ، أو مريضًا
(صحيح الجامع للالباني : 3111)
ترجمہ: جمعہ کی نماز ہر مسلمان پہ جماعت کے ساتھ واجب ہے سوائے چار لوگوں کے غلام،
عورت ،
بچہ،
بیمار۔
لیکن یہاں یہ بات بھی جان لینی چاہئے کہ اگر خواتین جمعہ کی نماز میں شامل ہوجاتی ہے تو اس کی نماز جمعہ صحیح ہے اور اس سے ظہر کی نماز ساقط ہوجائے گی ۔
نبی ﷺ کے زمانے میں صحابیات جمعہ میں شریک ہوتی تھیں۔

دلیل : عن أم هش&1575;م بنت حارثة بن النعمان: وما أخذت (ق والقرآن المجيد) إلا عن لسان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرؤها كل يوم جمعة على المنبر إذا خطب الناس.
(صحیح مسلم : 873)

ترجمہ :سیدہ اُم ہشام بنت حارثہ بن نعمان رضی اللہ عنہا بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں نے سورۂ ق رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی زبان مبارک سے (سن کر) ہی تو یاد کی تھی، آپ اسے ہر جمعہ کے دن منبر پر لوگوں کو خطبہ دیتے ہوئے تلاوت فرمایا کرتے تھے۔

اس حدیث میں دلیل ہے کہ صحابیہ
ام ہشام رضی اللہ عنہا جمعہ کی نماز میں شریک ہوتی تھی ، جمعہ میں شرکت کی وجہ سے خطبہ نبوی میں پڑھی جانے والی سورت ق انہیں حفظ ہوگئی۔

یہاں ایک اور بات یاد رکھنی چاہئے کہ عورتوں کا اکٹھا ہوکر الگ سے عورتوں کے لئے جمعہ کی نماز قائم کرنے کی دلیل نہیں ملتی ۔

خطبہ کو توجہ سے سننا اور خاموش رہا

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا
جس نے وضو کیا اور اچھی طرح کیا ۱؎ پھر جمعہ کے لیے آیا ۲؎، امام کے قریب بیٹھا، غور سے خطبہ سنا اور خاموش رہا تو اس کے اس جمعہ سے لے کر دوسرے جمعہ تک کے اور مزید تین دن کے ۳؎ کے گناہ ۴؎ بخش دیئے جائیں گے۔ اور جس نے کنکریاں ہٹائیں تو اس نے لغو کیا۔

یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

جمعہ کے فرائض دو رکعت ہیں۔

آپﷺ نےفرمایا

من أدرك من الجمعة رکعة فلیصلي إلیها أخری
(سنن ابن ماجہ:١١٢١)

??جو شخص جمعہ سے ایک رکعت پالے تو اسکے ساتھ دوسری آخری رکعت ملا لے۔??

اس حدیث سے ثابت ہو ا کہ نمازِ جمعہ کے فرائض صرف دو رکعات ہیں۔ جو اس دن ظہر کی نماز کے متبادل ہوجائیں گے اور ظہر کی نماز پڑھنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

‍دل پر مہر لگا دے گا?

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علŒہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ?جو جمعہ تین بار سستی ۱؎ سے حقیر جان کر چھوڑ دے گا تو اللہ اس کے دل پر مہر لگا دے گا?

جمعہ کے دن درود کثرت سے پڑھیں

رسول ﷲ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا

تمہارے دنوں میں سب سے افضل ( بہترین ) جمعہ کا دن ہے، اسی دن آدم علیہ سلام پیدا ہوئے، اسی دن میں ان کی روح قبض کی گئی، اور اسی دن صور پھونکا جائے گا، اور اسی دن بیہوشی طاری ہوگی، لہٰذا تم مجھ پر زیادہ سے زیادہ صلاۃ ( درود و سلام ) بھیجو کیونکہ تمہاری ( درود و سلام ) مجھ پر پیش کیے جائیں گے ۱؎ لوگوں نے عرض کیا:
اللہ کے رسول! ہماری ( درود و سلام ) آپ پر کس طرح پیش کی جائیں گی حالانکہ آپ ریزہ ریزہ ہو چکے ہوں گے یعنی وہ کہنا چاہ رہے تھے، کہ آپ بوسیدہ ہو چکے ہوں گے، آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے زمین پر حرام کر دیا ہے کہ وہ
انبیاء علیہم السلام کے جسم کو کھائے ۔

نسائی حدیث نمبر 1375

کفارہ

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
ایک جمعہ دوسرے جمعہ تک کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہے، بشرطیکہ کبیرہ گناہوں کا ارتکاب نہ کیا جائے ۔

ابن ماجہ حدیث نمبر 1086

ایک ساعت. (ایک لمحہ)

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا
جمعہ کا دن بارہ ساعت ( گھڑی ) کا ہے، اس میں ایک ساعت ( لمحہ ) ایسی ہے کہ کوئی مسلمان اس ساعت کو پا کر اللہ تعالیٰ سے مانگتا ہے تو اللہ اسے ضرور دیتا ہے، لہٰذا تم اسے عصر کے بعد آخری ساعت ( گھڑی ) میں تلاش کرو ۔

جمعہ کے دن سورۃ کہف کی تلاوت

حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ? جمعہ کے دن سورہ کہف پڑھنے والے کے لئے دو جمعوں کے در&1605;یانی عرصہ کے لئے روشنی رہتی ہے۔

امام حاکم نے بھی اسے روایت کیا ہے ( مستدرک ص368
ج 2 )
