How did you make the taco shells? They are so cute!
Those are ready made mini phylo cups! You get them in the freezer aisle, right next to the puff pastry sheets. It's Athenos brand.
khatti, please tell me where can i get those sandwich bun. in usa, name brand etc. pleaseeee thanks
Those are just regular sandwich/hoagie buns. There is no specific name brand. Every grocery store/supermarket has them in the Bakery section and bread aisle.
No its something very different. I had never had it or even seen it before I got married. My MIL taught me the recipe. Its not a common or well known dish. But it's delish :D
I usually go by andaza so let me try my best to explain this. It's a pakoriyon wali dish in a yummy watery dahi sauce.
For pakoriyan:
Mix besan, water, salt, red chilli powder and baking soda. You want it to have the consistency of bhalley (as in dahi bhalley/bhare). Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
For the paani/sauce:
Mix one cup of dahi with a 1.5-2 cups of water. Add 1.5 teaspoons of turmeric. Salt to taste. Mix well.
In a sauce pan heat up some oil. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds. Now add your paani mixture and let it come to a boil. Add red chilli flakes and mix it with a spoon a little. Pour it into a bowl.
On the side fry your pakoriyan. Once they're done put them in the paani/sauce. Let it sit for 5 minutes and tadaaaa you've got yourself some yummy yummy bhagarey :D :D

no karhi is thick and is a main dish. This is a side dish/part of iftaar. And is a lot more watery. Almost like a soup.
Also in karhi you add a whole lot of other spices :)

Oh okies. Actually in my house we do the karhi this way. Just that it's not watery.
