I recently got sent flowers by an anonymous individual…and the whole thing kinda freaked me out…I never take things like that very well…instead I panic and think of the worst possible scenario…ie that it’s some psycho 
I’m just interested to know what other Gups make of things like this…how do you/would you handle situations where you’re being pursued in this way by an unknown individual…?

I used to find some emotional letters in my books and in my college bag. I always thought it was someone who wanted to have fun by making fool out of people, so I didn't try to find out but threw them away.
But once the letter was a bit too emotional and name of the girl was written at the bottom. After I showed it to a class fellow, he told me that she was actually studying in our own class and the hand writing was exactly the same.
I was fedup of such jokes so I asked her during the break time when she was standing with other girls. She said that I have not written the letter. Than she took the letter from me and asked me if she could tear it apart. I said that no problem with me but I want to know who is doing this joke. She said that she did not know.
After that I never found a letter again in my book.
After 1 year I found another letter in the drawer of my table in my bed room. That letter I found just after one of my cousin left our house and the hand writing was exactly as that of her as she used to give me her note books, so I knew she was just trying to joke.

well i did once or twice ok more than that got some anonymous letters on valentines days etc but i read them and threw them away...i got to know who it was but i ignored him and now he is my best friend

someone sent FLOWERS to show a feeling. Is that too hard to comprehend? If you are not intrested , just throw them out and if person has some sort of connection with you - they will find out and will not pursue. Sheeesh, seriously

Someone used to place a single red rose on the windshield of my car at uni everyday for about 2 months. After that the roses stopped coming. I never found out who it was....no harm was done. :)
Try not to worry about it too much....it may just be an admirer who isnt necessarily psycho. He may eventually tell you who he is or he may prefer remaining anonymous...settling for just a smile on your face.

^^ You know I would also be looking over my shoulder if someone sent me roses. Primarily because I am not gay and second because it is something that a chichora(i) would do.

PrinceMS: I definitely appreciate the gesture…but there was a card with a name and a mobile phone number on it…I called the number and the phone was answered on speakerphone which I found strange…the person claimed the individual named on the card wasn’t there and then in the middle of a sentence hung up on me…it was a bit weird to say the least…and made me very uncomfortable…
Unfortunately, I’ve actually had the rather unwelcome experience of being stalked and it was extremely unpleasant…which is why I get freaked out by such things now…
AE: Aww that sounds cute…do you still wonder who it might have been? I guess you’re right, I shouldn’t worry so much…as a friend advised, the roses were nice…a psycho prob wouldn’t bother spending the money on a decent bunch…!

The Quran also doesn't tell you HOW to pray... it just tells u to do so...
Islam is a way of life... if someone is interested in someone, then he/she should convey that interest in the proper manner... and as muslims, our "interest" should = marriage. there is nothing b4 or after it. having said that, most of these notions are flirtacious in nature and dont materialise to marriage anyway, so that is what makes them unislamic, as they may lead to sin (i.e. relationships outside the marriage).
