Second Test-- Pakistan vs Australia at MCG

I went through this thread and all I read was the combination of various best 11 to face the Kangrooz, and to top it of with great vocab to suggest that Pakistan team is worst than Zimbabwe/ Bangladesh.

I agree the performance of Pakistan team was a Shock, though many of us did expected that Pakistan will lose the Test match before they tossed to coin for the 1st test.

I maybe a lone rider when it comes to Pakistan team is capable of making a comeback, maybe you guys will laugh it off, but it is true and all of you want this to happen, Right?

The 11 that played against Kangrooz are capable to beat them, of course there are only two things that can happen you WIN or LOOSE and all we expect is that, if Pakistan team should loose they should go down with a fight. why settle for a pessimistic approach!
There are still two more test match to go and I am hopeful the winds will change.

P.s: I am not paid by Bob Woolmer or Pakistani cricket team at the present

Its my personal opinion.

Shawa!!! :jhanda:  :dhimpak:

**Australia name unchanged squad **](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Other International | Australia name unchanged squad)

Australian have named an unchanged squad of 12 for the second Test against Pakistan in Melbourne on Sunday.
The Australians stormed to a 491-run win over the tourists in the first Test, with Glenn McGrath taking career-best figuires of 8-24.

Brett Lee is likely to face yet another Test performing 12th man duties.

The match will go ahead as planned at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, after the venue was cleared to hold the Test after doubts earlier in the season.

The MCG is being redeveloped for the 2006 Commonwealth Games but it will be in good enough shape for the Boxing Day Test.

The third match in the three-Test series will be played in Syndey in the new year.

Australia squad: Justin Langer, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting (captain), Damien Martyn, Darren Lehmann, Michael Clarke, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee.

when is the Rasm-e-Qul for the last test match.. We really need to recite Fatehaa for our team :)...

if humiliation @ sharjah was not bad enough, buy hey at least we doubled the numbers this time :k:] I see no hope for Pakistan @ mcg, changing team won’t help when the whole spirit of the team is non-existent, talented batsmen have easily succumbed to pressure, we have thrown our wickets away, it wouldn’t be as bad if a ripper of a delivery squared the batsmen up, the shot selection @ Perth was shocking, @ club level we guys seem to play better and are a little more cautious at fishing outside the off stump or judging the line then our national goons, that level of concentration Pakistani batsmen lacked and it’ll be sweet chin music @ the mcg {god forbid} but by the looks of the sad state of things will only get worse. :frowning:

for 2nd test drop khalil and play rana, drop farhat and play afridi and play shoaib malik at the expense of one of the rejects.

I am pissed at Shoaib and Sami for giving us false hopes on the first day. oh well, new test, new day, let's see what happens.

Pick me in the team. I can leave the ball better than any batsmen currently in the team

Man now we have to coach them how to leave the ball going outside the off stump in a test game :smack:

yeah bhai that is quite sad innit

i know afridi is not in the test squad, but can we pick him nonetheless. he might prove to be a better leggie than danish who imo forgot how to bowl over the wicket in the first test. secondly, despite hameed's form, we have to bring him in place of farhat. finally we could use asim kamal as a keeper.

butt
hameed inplace of farhat
kamal inplace of kamran
khan (we have no other choice)
yoyo (read above)
inzi
afridi inplace of danish
razaq (read above)
shoaib
khalil
sami

We need to find and groom at least 2 new pacers, one to replace M Sami and one to support Shoaib Akhtar as he needs 2 hour break after his 4 over spell. Should we try both Khalil and Asif in next match and drop Razzaq for including the new bowler? I think it should be worth a try.

I think come back for paki's is possible. They have very good team but they just need to stay on pitch. Their opening pair has to stay their for long otherwise they will never be able to have good score. Inzi has to bat well too in middle order.

solution is not to change the team! This is the same Inzi that won us many matches before and same team that has performed well before and we have loved them

don't leave them when they are in tough spot.. its all about the thinking.. this team needs to concentrate on their negative issues and be positive about it..

BUT i have to agree.. DROP FARHAT..bring in Yassir.. that's the only change i would love to see..

GO PAK GO.. i have full faith in them.. they can do it.. :)

shabi' isn't helping himself by keeping a 40 yard run up, no wonder he can barely last a 5 over spell then needs a rest. he needs to listen to bob and cut down his run up? + i totally agree with captain1 sami is all fizz and no substance, all that hype about him being the next best thing from pak was just blown out of proportion.

if only gul and shabeera toured australia, especially shabeera uses his height well like hamrison and is turning into a gr8 bolwer i feel ten we wouldn't need sami and his below par performances we could play gul, shabeera, shabi and 1 more seamer.

Hilarious comments really   :smack: :mudhosh: :frusty: :help:

Guys relax..the pakistan team will come back with vengence

I like to see a figher in this team..someone like asim kamal..what an innings he had played with injections at lahore

------------x----------------

Hmmmm,we can sure give it a try :konfused:
Lets see if it works,:ahaa::k:

:hoonh::k:,pass the salt,

they'll come back with a a vengence and still lose :(

is shoaib gonna be ok for sunday? hmm

Here is my team for 2nd test
(1) I will choose Yasir Hameed as an opener, atleast he could stay longer than Imran Farhat.
(2) Try Asim Kamal on other side, as Salman Butt is more like a One Day player.
(3) Inzimam (he could play one down better under pressure)
(4) Yousuf Youhana
(5) Shoaib Malik (All Rounder)
(6) Younis Khan
(7) Abdul Razzaq (All Rounder)
(8) Muhammad Sami (He could defence good)
(9) Kamran Akmal (No good in betting)
(10) Shoaib Akhtar
(11) Danish Kaneria or Shahid Afridi (Offcourse he could play at 8th position and ball as well)
Danish wouldn't play a big role on fast wickets, that was my guess on first test match.

My team for the test wud be:

01 Yasir Hameed
02 Salman Butt
03 Younis Khan
04 Inzimam ul haq
05 Yousuf Youhana
06 Shoaib Malik
07 Kamran Akmal
08 Mohammad Sami
09 Mohammad Khalil/Asif
10 Shoaib Akhtar
11 Danish Kaneria
