all i am saying is that some schools of thought allow eating crabs and lobsters. so just do it if you want to, some very knowledgeable people were unable to declaer it was haram, how can we.

In this thread, no one presented the absolute judgement of crab/lobster being haraam. Khanbaba said that its "Makrooh according to Hanafi". Makrooh means there is an element of doubt. Some think that its Haraam and some failed to prove that, so Hanafi's concluded right that element of doubt is there and called it Makrooh.
Hanafi's also believe that if it is Makrooh then it should be avoided just like we avoid Haraam. Its better to be safe than sorry. I dont see anything wrong with this philosophy
