you still don't get it, its not consider attack if police show up and start destroying your personal property with out court order. its consider self defense. I know for gullos it's foreign concept in gulloocracy, where might is right, but getting acclimated to 21st century will take some time for this govt.

never had the problem of police showing up and destroying private property, you can go watch videos on you tube of civilians pulling police officers for speeding and endangering public. the police officer can not do anything to them because laws applies to everyone and not just weak ones.

You are absolutely right.. I can't get your genius logical justification of attacking the police under any circumstances even self defense.

JIT report says there are video clips of MNJ people attacking police from the roof top. For me it's already a lost case in any court of law in the world..

I am surprised that people still think what they see on tv is the reality.

Dharna warna se kuch nahi hota. Why would NS care if a huge group is sitting on govt property singing and dancing. This doesnt derail any system. I mean if dharna is the only force to topple NS then he need not worry. People can sit over there for next 4 years and NS will not bat an eye lid.

People have been doing marches (world record holder), dharna, hunger strikes for missing persons for years and they couldnt even shake city govt.

Technically and in all fairness Islamabad police can use force to disperse the crowd which is destroying public property and holding an illegal dharna. But they cannot really do that can they?

Nawaz is scared of Army intervention and IK himself clarified that in his third umpire remarks. So lets not fool any kind soul that this dharna is actually causing troubles to NS.

Script writers are as confused as NS and IK. They were promised millions of people and few dozen bodies, without that they cannot intervene. Script has gone wrong and no one knows how to fix it. All those firing at the border is part of script to divert the attention.

MQM was earlier taking a neutral stance but one arrest in london made them fall in line.

Not every sane writer who is for real democracy is siding with IK. Siding with IK means siding with third empire. While those writers dont want to support NS in their wildest dreams but IK is leaving them no choice. Being with IK doesnt mean being with democracy and not being with IK doesnt mean being with NS.

In the end either NS will have to cut out a chunk of his gosht to make the deal or will be dragged out again by boots. No one knows what to do, President should have stepped up and asked Raheel to go back to his business and asked police to clear the grounds. SC could have done the same but no one wants to do it.

For now, its NS paid media fighting IK paid media and innocent internet patriots are dragged in as fodder in the cannnon.

Its up to script writers how far they want to take this game.

that is your right to have an opinion. If you think its ok for police to break in your home and plunder or whatever unlawful activity. i respect your decision. I think police is there to serve and protect and when they are breaking laws to harm me, i have right to protect myself. luckily i live in country where Everyone even police agree with this concept.

Even if (a big if) police act unlawfully, it does not give people the right to attack them. Even where someone commits a crime against you, it does not give you the license to commit crimes against the other person. This is twisted logic.

In no country of the world you can attack the police with arms and stones.. unless you live in some far off area of Afghanistan or some African place I am not aware of.
I am afraid your misconception about the law can result in some very serious consequences for you.. and believe me it's not my opinion.. it's simply a fact of life !!!

Crowd confrontation is a global phenomenon, it's an unfortunate yet a very common occurrence. But in most civilized countries police is provided with special training to effectively and non-violently deal with an aggressive crowd. Perhaps if Punjab police wasn't reduced down to personal militia of Shareef family whose only job is to provide security to their palaces, peacocks and guava trees, they would've known that you don't fire at pregnant women and elderly men!

As with your throwing 'stones' at nonsense, stop making utterly false comments regarding countries you have probably no knowledge about. Maybe in your posts, only refer to Saudi Arabia and China when suggesting in no country in the world you can 'throw stones (yes bloody stones) at police' and expect not to be killed on the spot. But since you are harping about civilized countries, I wonder if you ever seen the glimpse of violent riots that usually break out during football season in Europe? Beer bottles (made of glass) are thrown at police by football hooligans, but still police is not expected to open direct fires at them. This is what you call human rights.

You are desperately clutching on straws not just to cover up the crimes of the Sharif family, but make their blood games look legitimate and justified.

Well, Lanati people like Nawaz Shareef, his family and political team members are Liars by nature … but most surprising thing to understand is that, even some of PMLN supporters, who may be supporting this party of Lanati Liar because they got misguided by propaganda of the party and their lies, try to lie themselves on their behalf.

Just imagine, what can one say when some start spreading lies quoting JIT report, abstract of that can be found in almost all media. Abstract, because when JIT report pinned all blame on Shahbaz and his government, Shahbaz stopped the report to come out in public.

Anyhow, we all know that when JIT reports are made, there are several elements involved in making the report. People from provincial government, people from federal government, people from ISI, people from army, and so on.

But when investigation is done on event where Government and police are involved, it is obvious that for any neutral observer, most important part of the report is what those not directly involved in the incident says.

In JIT report on Model Town incident (17 June), it is obvious that Punjab government and police would like to put all blame on Minhaj-ul-Quran (to save their own skin), so in this case neutral elements like ISI and MI becomes very important.

Anyhow, in the JIT report on model town … we have observation (with dissenting notes) from Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Police, Special Branch (SB) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) – that put the blame on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, then Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah, then principal secretary to the chief minister Dr Tauqeer Shah and other senior police officers, claiming that these thugs were directly or indirectly responsible for the killing of over a dozen PAT workers.

As for firing from PAT side … most interesting part in JIT report says that:

According to JIT report, authorities under PMLN government … that is, Punjab police, the Special Branch (SB), Counter terrorism department CTD and civilian spy agency (IB), all tried to put blame on lower ranking police officers on ground of Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town statement that he only ordered policemen to open fire after PAT workers opened fire on the police.

But … problem with SP statement that is also mentioned in JIT report is that, SP statement cannot find support with JIT team because no evidence was provided by police that PAT workers had weapons as ‘NO WEAPONS WERE RECOVERED FROM PAT WORKERS’.

I am giving abstract of the report from two sources, but one can find many sources saying same … that is, ‘JIT TEAM FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF WEAPONS USED BY PAT WORKERS’.

Model Town tragedy: Dissenting note in JIT report pins blame on Shahbaz – The Express Tribune

LAHORE: In what is bound to provide fodder for protest rallies already calling for heads to roll, a number of members of a joint investigation team (JIT) investigating the Model Town shootings held the Shahbaz Sharif-led government responsible for the tragic incident, The Express Tribune has learnt.

According to sources, a few members of the JIT – which comprises representatives of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Military Intelligence (MI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Police, Special Branch (SB) and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) – have included an ‘Ikhtilafi’ (dissenting) note in the report, which pins the blame on the lower cadres of the police force.

The note states that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, then Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah, then principal secretary to the chief minister Dr Tauqeer Shah and other senior police officers were directly or indirectly responsible for the killing of over a dozen PAT workers.

At least 14 PAT workers were killed and over 100 people were injured when police clashed with PAT workers on June 17 in front of Tahirul Qadri’s residence in Model Town, Lahore.

According to sources, Punjab police, the Special Branch, CTD and civilian spy agency, IB, tried to indict low-ranking police officials by convincing the Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town to admit that he had only ordered policemen to open aerial fire after PAT workers opened fire on the police. The SP’s statement, however, could not be supported by any evidence because no weapons were recovered from PAT workers.

Further, in the dissenting note, the officials said that the FIR registered by the police on the Model Town incident should be discharged because PAT had not accepted it, no witnesses of the aggrieved party had appeared and the police had hidden key facts pertaining to the case.

Despite the JIT’s recommendations, Faisal Town police station has refused to register a case according to the PAT application in which 21 persons, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, have been named.

The 32-page JIT report has been submitted to the Punjab home secretary, Punjab inspector general of police and other concerned officials, sources familiar with the matter told The Express Tribune.

On Thursday, due to the completion of the investigation and submission of a charge sheet, an Anti-Terrorism Court sent four policemen, including Station House Officer (SHO) Sheikh Amir Saleem, Elite Force Inspector Hafiz Athar and two other low-ranking officials, on a 14-day judicial remand for their alleged involvement in the Model Town tragedy. The police said that the investigation process had been completed and there was no need to remand any other officials.

Thank God one of those civilised countries is not run by Noon League goons and their private militias, otherwise our Universities would've been empty today if police had decided to open live fires at students for throwing everything from eggs to glass bottles at officers in full protective gear, in 2010 student protests.
