UK is a big proponent of democracy and freedom in the world, I think that should apply on Scotland too. Why double standards? They are threatening scots with financial consequences, and even yes vote won’t mean anything.

They are following the democratic norms and allowing a referendum. There is no army action in Scotland and people are not disappearing never to be seen again. As for currency the £ belongs to UK and all they are saying to Scotland is to have their own currency if you are going to go independent, which is fair.
