There is a famous story of a Phantom Rickshaw in Lahore. Apparently at night time a weary traveler seeks a rickshaw to reach home and a lone rickshaw approaches on a lonely street. The traveler gets inside tells the driver about his destination, upon arrival the traveler looks down to take some money out of his pocket then he realizes that there hasn't been anyone in the Rickshaw and that the rickshaw stopped in front a graveyard. True story.

^ I swear that's like a metaphor for how the government is screwing over the common man.
They make promises, they take you to a place and when you get there, you realize its too late and you're dead. Or about to die.
Wait, maybe that's just some film I'm thinking of.

Oh I wasn't taking anything away from your story, Bru!
I was just discussing the ever imminent crash of PIA with our VP the other day (He was pretty senior in PIA back in the day) and how the government is trying its darned hardest to screw it up. And then I read the story you posted and I just found it funny.

I think they have still continued it. Even one of magazines of Jang publication, they also started '3 Mard 3 Kahaniyan' :)

No This one my mamu told me when he used to go to school there in the mid 1980s, he told me another story that once late night he was coming back from seeing an Anjuman and Muhammad Ali movie (Lollywood) and missed his wagon back home so he walked all the way from the theatre and middle of the way he and his friend had to cross this graveyard which they did and after crossing it they saw a woman with black hair and a black kameez with feet turned backwards walking towards them saying “Rukh jao…Rukh jaooo.” My mamo realized that it was a “Churail” so they decided to take off their clothes because apparently that’s a proven method to ward off “Churails” then they ran for their lives.

Interesting. Double horror. Lollywood movie and chudail. They saw Anjuman singing 'Kuch deir thehr jao barsaat ke bahane' and then chudail saying 'Ruk jao ruk jao'.

dude anjuman was like muham ali's daughters age, I doubt if they ever work together.

once I saw 3 churials in a pakistnai restaurant. I got so scared and took off.
Next day I saw their pictures here at GS under Guppy-meet, in that same restaurant.

No Anjuman debuted with Muhammad Ali in an Urdu movie. Aur jab wo shohrat ki waja se moti hogai to phir wo Sultan Rahi ke peeche kheton main bhag kar wazan kam karne lagi. You know then they didn't have concepts like '40 days weight loss challenge'. :)

Another story related to Anjuman is that she destroyed the crops. If she danced on some fertile ground, grass wouldn't grow there anymore. So she destroyed a lot of poor villagers crops by doing her "thumkay" and step overs.
