Meaningless word games.

Allah was simply what the Arabs called the one and only God. The jews wouldn't even take His name, but it was not Allah...but Yaw-h.

If God was not offended by different peoples calling Him different things, you should not either.

I wonder, why Allaah wants us to be united. Thats right, we should be disunited in all the ways.

Well, can we now look into the Hadith now and can you share from the Hadith what Prophet said, i have commented and no one is brought the Hadith, from the first post ad the Hadeeth present i Tirmidhi, and Bukhari.

I don't know why but they have made this a political issue, which started during General Zia's era. If you see old PTV dramas they use to say Khuda Haafiz as farewell till mid or early 80s then rafta rafta it changed to Allah Haafiz. In my opinion both are right.

You are right General Zia gave Pakistan too many things besides this (AK47, Heroine (drugs, Afghans)

If hadith were written in English, I'm sure Almighty, Creator, Absolute Being, All Knowing, All Powerful and God would be some of the 99 names used. The necessity to have everything Arabcentric is puzzling for a religion that is supposed to be for all mankind, inlcuding the billions who don't speak Arabic.

it is more shocking that whenever we say something about ALLAH,we caste aside His proper name ALLAH and his 99 attributive names and happy to use the word"Khuda" instead.
this additude is very negative indeed because we can use word"Khuda" for the thousand of gods in Greek Mythogy, for gods in Hindu literature, and for others gods as well.
in fact "khuda" is a common name for any thing which is worshiped. But ALLAH is proper name of One who created everything.
in Quran ALLAH says

Surah Al-A'raf **(surah 7)Ayah 180**
*]The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on Him by them; but shun such men as use profanity in His names: for what they do they will soon be requited. *

for ALLAH **(the Creator),to use a word like "Khuda" which even be used for His creature is definately unjustifiable.
we have to think that if we say " khuda, khuda,khuda" hundred times, can it be called as"Zikre". only those who have pending mental surgery will reply"yes"
because according to Hadeeth,ALLAH has 99 Attributive names and word "God" and"Khuda" is not part of that

Allah has ninety-nine Names, i.e., one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise; and Allah is Witr (one) and loves 'the Witr' (i.e., odd numbers).

so please replace the word khuda by ALLAH, so that the angels recognize you by your talk that you are a muslim.
it is your obligatory duty to spread these kind of messages as you can,

He say: [It was] out of fear of people. Then He says: Rather it is I whom you should more properly fear.

FYI: There are things 'arabcentric', but not in this case. Arabs don't use the words 'Khuda Hafiz' or 'Allah Hafiz' as farewell words, rather 'ma`a-assalam'.

Seminole, that's where you are wrong. You confuse religion with muslims. The religion is a separate entity. If we were to say "Allah Hafiz", it would be clearly WRITTEN somewhere. It would be in our revelations. There is no such rigid revelation, because I doubt God really cares what name we refer to Him by as long as there is some reverence when referring to His name.

Muslims on the other hand do all kinds of things.

Does it mean its in the religion? No. Hence why we have debates like this.

So your statement "The necessity to have everythign Arabcentric is puzzling for a religion" should be changed to "The necessity to have everything Arabcentric for PEOPLE". Then it will make more sense, and most likely be less offensive to those of us who actually like to make sense when we practice Islam.

Khuda is not a name of Allah - It is a translation of the word Allah.

There is nothing wrong with using this word, unless in situations like praying (saying khuda-o-Akbar, instead of Allah-o-Akbar), where it becomes arabcentric, as captain mentioned.

Namaz is the root word of Sanskrit, i wonder u have any evidence to claim what you written.
Namaz means to bow ur head, that Nam means to bow down, its the same as Namaskara is ssingh is here, he can just approve what I have mentioned.
