And we are also aware about a lot of innocent Pakistanis who were kidnapped and tortured in india to confess for all sort of crimes they had never committed.

That decision is to be taken by the democratic government of Pakistan .... which they have taken ..... hate mongers are running for cover .... Kudos to the Pakistani government for such a bold step
Yeah,. so the last thing we need to be doing in such an atmosphere is fascilitating Indias role in Afghanistan through a transit route. As we all know, Indias role in Afghanistan is hardly in Paks favor, considering it gives them open access to Baloch and FATA terrorists.
Pakistan should allow all gas pipelines/ routes through it to India. We should have some pressure levers in our hand but given India's past, I am sure they will give it a good thought before availing any such concession. (frankly, I believe Indians are better politicians than we are)
Calm down. Opening trade with India is beneficial to Pakistan too. Afghan transit was moved by rail in the past and railway had earned billions on that account. Adding Indian trade will benefit PR which is suffereing from huge lossess and under heavy debt of more than 100 billions. Ziada uchal kood karnay ki zaroorat nahin hay.
This is probably the first long term decision that has come out of Pakistan that makes any sense. Instead of relying totally on tyrannical powers such as Iran and China and the lukewarm on/off with Turkey, this link provides Pakistan's first deal with a stable democratic and economically vibrant country.
This is also one of the very few deals by Pakistan where it is win-win-win for all three parties instead of deals such as "I'll give you $1B but you must only use that money to buy weapons from me".

Dunno where have you been living for the last 20 years.
Pakistan has always tried to show that it is a "great transit route" between Central Asia and the rest of the world.
Here are some "general" examples for ya.
Pakistan actively worked with India and Iran to be the transit route for Iranian gas
Pakistan has just launched a Pak-Iran-Turkey train.
Pakistan has been working for the last 2 decades to set up pipelines and electricity lines between Central Asia and Arabian Sea/India.
Often time the hard $$$ take precedence over old prejudices.
So yeah we should take great care so as Indian RAW doesn't take advantage of this "trade" facility and turns it into some anti-Pakistan spying mission.
But other than that, it is perfectly OK to allow Indians, Chinese, Americans, Sri lankans, and Somalians the trade transit through Pak soil.
