What are some ways and ideas to save money for the crazy-shoppers and I-just-can’t-hold-onto-my-money types like me?
As long as there is money in my account, I will not stop shopping until it is gone. I am the biggest fuzool kharch person ever and I am seriously looking for ideas to tone down this habit of mine. Please advice!

Open a saving account (one of those where you need to give advance notice to transfer money out). Set standing order for a certain amount every month. Only leave enough money in your current account that covers your monthly expenses.
OR
Give that extra money to me, I'll take good care of it for you.

Deposit your money in my savings account , I will keep it for you , even if you will ask for it I will not give it to you , because you will spend it and waste it.

This is why I have both savings and current account. Current account money I can use for whatever I like and savings does not get touched, it remains there after I add cash in it every month.

Automatically get 20% of paycheck put into a savings account.
if it’s not possible right now then wait for the next pay raise… put that into savings account.. that’s what i am doing from long time..
and i don’t know how .. i never check my savings account .. i don’t even remember about the user/pass..

Next time... spend 50% on charity.
Then next to next make it 25 % for the rest of ur fazool-khurch life.
Your habit will have a sufficient change, in no time.
Put as much as you can in 401k or in IRA reitrement plans.
i have no heart to look at my 401k after the financial crises ..... sigh

Those savings accounts dont work. I have one and even though I get charged for taking money out, I still take money out.
Year ago, I used to chip in a community savings scheme, there is a pakistani word for it, but I cant think what at the moment. I used to hate parting with my £100 every month, but at the end of a year, I had about £4000 saved up.
That was a good shopping trip! :D

Aye thats it.
I think its the best way to save money, as those aunty ji's dont leave you alone till you pay up every month...they were the bane of my life for a whole year! You can request to take the saved money out any time, but you must keep paying till the end date.
