We just need to clean our own house before we go and ask neighbors if they need help cleaning. We have loads of trash in our own living room.
We also do not need to make more enemies. Defend our borders and that should be enough.

That is true, Saudi is biggest importer of weapons and with ISIS in neighborhood they may hold this title for 2 more years… but importing weapons is something else, getting training to use them is other thing and actually using them is the main thing… and i doubt Saudi army have any idea how they are going to use these weapons…

So you all want ISIL to get more territory? Seriously you guys need some perspective. When ISIL get more power it will extend to Pakistan. That is a given. So why not stop them begore they do so? After all it is what the US did in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya and a good many of you supported those wars.

Egypt, Jordan, Saudi, Iraq, and company are more than capable of handling Isis by themselves if they put together a joint strategy.
I'd support Pakistan's involvement if Pakistan was already safe from isis mentality. We are already fighting their affiliates at home. Millions of Pakistanis are suffering continuously because of this war. Government finds it difficult to find lawyers to fight cases against terrorists. We are facing hostilities from bother eastern and western borders.
I don't think opening another battleground far from the country will help Pakistan in any way until things at home improve. Sure, provide training to Saudi military, but direct action will remove focus of military away from home (specially when riyals pour into military).

Right but there is nothing wrong in joining the fight itself? After all Pakistan signed up for Afghanistan (in theory) it should be fine to sign up for ISIL.
And more importantly we are not opening up a border or battleground. We are providing troops to protect Saudi Arabia. We opened up the Eastern Border when we signed up with the US. That made our life more difficult and dangerous.
Its a simple issue. If you disagree with opening up a border fighting terrorism with Saudi Arabia you should agree we shouldn't have opened up a border with the US on terrorism.
In both cases your concern is blowback. We have had blowback for 7 years now. It will continue regardless. So instead of cowering to terrorism and being fearful we should take the fight to them.

ISIL/ISIS is not a problem for Pakistan at the moment, if Pakistan can exterminate its rats and the related support camps we won't have as big of a threat of that. Currently what you guys want is Pakistan to jump into attack-ISIS bandwagon while our own backyard is infested.

You have to focus all of your attention, energy at the enemy that is inside your territory NOT the one that you think is going to come to your territory to join the already existing enemy.

Nope it is NOT as simple as that. US can walk away after any military intervention or support to Iraq or any other country in their struggle against ISIS, Pak does not have same luxury.
Even if it did - I would not want Pak to get involved in ISIS mess before sorting out its own mess or perhaps even after. Period.

Pakistan already supports Saudi army more than what appears from outside. As for providing cannon-fodder to a fire to which Saudi provides fuel, I'd rather have them fight for their own country first. I do not think we should consider "strategic depth" ideas anymore until we remove the internal disease.

Nothing wrong at all.
Just that we are fighting them at home already. Why not concentrate here where our own people are being killed every day. Once we are done here, we can go after them anywhere.
The question is not that we can or cannot do it. The question is, should we do it now?
My concern is not blowback. My concern is that our forces would lose focus at home where we need them to concentrate for at least next 5/6 years.

Thats right, we tried to help Afghanistan in 79...35 years down the track still cleaning the trash...
Personally I believe Syrian war is a blessing in disguise for Pakistan, the attention of the jehadis world wide is towards that theatre. If Pakistan is serious this is the best time to remove the remnants of the scum from Pakistan.
