Re: Saudis want more Pakistani troops in KSA to save them from ISIS
What is the best way to minimize the risk of ISIS in Pakistan??? the American model, where they targeted Al-Qaida on its home ground, be it in Sudan or Afghanistan or Pakistan.... Pakistan is not a super power like US nor does it enjoys privileges US have to invade country, so if we are being invited by Saudi and being paid to eliminate root cause.. then why not??? we know Saudies cannot do it, we know Jordan cannot, we Know Syria can't we know, Turkey and Israel won't...
so back to the question, what would be the better ground, we fighting them on our shores (where we win our loose, our shores will burn) or fighting in their country, where we can be a bigger threat to them and would have minimum damages... meaning, in collateral damage, it won't be Pakistani bodies...
We don't have luxury of US, as you yourself mentioned that ISIS will pass to Pakistan as it is easier to cross borders as fragile as Afghanistan. If we don't eliminate this extremism root from Pakistan then we will have two open fronts against ISIS one in KSA and one in Pakistan. If we leave Pakistan open and tackle them in KSA then we will have even higher attraction of terrorists to Pakistan, even more Pakistanis will turn against Pakistan for the sake of "religion".
with Afghan talking to Taliban ( root cause of TTP) and Indians being forced to ease the pressure on eastern border and TTP and their frenchises being targeted and killed and areas being cleared ( Refuges returning home)... if this is not having on top then what it is....... this war is not going to end in matter of months... but we can damage them as we are and break their courage and take offensive measures.... yes we are on the top and that is for the 1st time in last 12 years...
Pressure on eastern border can go up and down but TTP are independent and will stop listening to Taliban of Afghanistan if they tell them to stop (if they listen to them at all in first place), TTP has its own businesses/franchises within Pakistan for financing their activities. Refugees are not a threat to Pakistan as much. So what you perceive to be "at top" for Pakistan is not really much IMHO.
Saudi Army, have you seen them.. they at best can check a Civil Id/Residential card of an expatriate and/or shout at them... they are good for nothing and arab states have kept their army like that so they do not through the kings and take over, like they did in Syria, Libya and Iraq...
Even Saudi King knows that, so he need an army which can put a leash (i hope it is not a bad word to few here) on ISIS... but i would say, even we need to go there and take them on, it should be on out terms and not on Saudi's term because ISIS was invented by Saudi and Qataries...
Yes, Saudi army can't even check foreign passports, may be able check Iqamah only, but hey its their financed problem for others so they should hug ISIS with open love.
