Why would you and other fellow Muslims in this thread be so easily dismissive of this person. Which 18 year old would leave her entire family behind with no chance of going back. Why would you jump to the conclusion that this persons concerns are not legitimate just because an anonymous person said something about Starbucks.

Yes, war wrt Saudi type repression, not wrt any religion. We need to ensure everyone gets to live the life they want as long as they are not hurting anyone else. Which 18 year old would choose to leave her entire family and friends circle and start a totally new life with no one to call a family. We need to stand with such people rather than conclude she is exaggerating. Especially when that conclusion is based on a total anonymous persons tweet re Starbucks trip. Which is being incorrectly assigned to this person! To discredit her reasons to leave.
People need to understand that just because the West is biased against Muslims doesn’t mean they have to exaggerate or make-up stuff to “spread an agenda.” Whatever ~the West’s~ intentions may be, it does not erase the fact that this young lady was in a terrible situation and that the Saudi regime is repressive, especially to people who leave their religion.

When you misstate facts due to carelessness acknowledge it. The Sarah quote had nothing to do with the young lady. LP used that quite to state she doesn?t want to ready any further. And you thanked her for this insight stating it was important to take into account that Sarah was exaggerating. Either both of you though it was this young lady who issued the Starbucks statement, I?m that case you were plain lazy and careless. Which is fine. Just admit you were wrong and move on.
