Theer's a strict law of segregation enforced in that country. Secondly, the president is flatly lying "that they did everything that Saudi Law requires". The Saudi law requires segragation - whether the president agrees with it or not - and they were not following the "Saudi Law"

interpretation of saudi muslims or saudi authorities is precisely that. Islam is open to interpretation. I for one am sick of being on the defensive foot. If saudis screwed up then thats what they did,it has no bearing what so ever on the religion. Muslims especially should know that.

^^ but the fact remains that the two holy sites in Islam are located in Saudi Arabia and thus for millions of poor muslims, the saudi interpretation of Islam becomes the defacto version of Islam

Saudi interpertation of islam gets as close to the authentic version possible...if you have problem with then you affectively have a problem with Islam...you need to renege on Islam and it would be a better option in that case...

no one is saying they have a problem with islam etc.... we are just saying that we shouldnt take things to an extreme. for example that story on how the religious police pushed those saudi girls back inside the burning school because they didnt have their headscarves on. The world is not a static place. it is changing all the time, so religion must be up to debate and interpretation to adapt it for changing times.

and please dont talk about the saudis as if they are the purest muslims . u already know the amount of excess and waste the saudis perpetrate with all their billions and billions of petrodollars. i know because i live surrounded by them here in london. rolls royces, limosines, their kids tearing up all the london clubs ordering bottles after bottles of champagne, booking out whole hotel floors in san tropez. what do islamic hadith etc say about all that. your claim that the saudis follow the most "authentic version of islam" its all forgotten as soon as they step out of their country.

by the way, these petro-dollars bailed out sorry and bankrupt pakistan soon after the nuclear endeavour . but, the majority of the Pakistanis are awfully unthankful in nature...considering what happened in Karachi today, the fortunes of the bubble economy of Pakistan could go in a tail-spin quickly, so be thankful that the Saudi brothers are always there to bail out :D
