SAS... hmmm....it's business intelligence software used by programmers to perform tasks such as:
Data warehousing/mining
report writing
analisis of sorts (statistical)
forecasting, decision support
And much more
If you're interested in that kind of stuff, then go for it. Type SAS tutorial into a search engine, and go to the official SAS link, there's some tutorials there that may be of use.
Yeh, I am talking about Statistical Analysis System and your description pretty much sums it up.
I really need to figure out a way of getting my hands on the software as it uses a license and not a serial key that can be cracked.. and the license itself is pretty expensive..
Maybe I'll bump this thread up every now and then to grab the attention of the two members mentioned previously..
I wonder if any of you can help with my cheeky request?
I need to get a copy of the SAS Learning Edition 4.1 software or the Latest SAS 9 Software. Unfortunantely, they are very expensive and I can't afford to buy them out right (credit crunch and all that).
Now, most universerties offer software on Academic Licenses. You just show your Student ID card at your local uni's library and ask for the software you want. You normally get a pre-burned CD or get sent a link to download from.
Now here is my cheeky request: Is anyone here a student, or knows of a student who would be able to get a copy of said software? If so, would they mind terribly posting me a copy of it?..

Thanks
Barfii.. :)
The Universities would install the software on the (normally official) computer on request and demonstrated need for the software (as the number of users are limited by license ). Atleast that's what my uni does.
