Actually your average pakistani is much more politically aware than the average american; who are quite famous for their ignorance and stupidity. Even in remote villages, nearly every house has a tv or radio, and no the news reader is not your average maulvi, they are usually the opposite. Radio BBC urdu is quite popular actually…so you have a gall calling them ignorant!

But take you for example, and i take it you are american. You think hamas were upset about the vote, and you are wrong. According to their leader it was a victory for the armed resistance! Did you not know theyve formed a unity coalition with fatah? Did you also not know that the unity deal was actually precondition for abbas to be able to go to the UN? The vote could only have happened if hamas had wanted it! But i bet your news source left that bit out!

So your smug ignorance is quite telling. Your msm must not tell you much, because they have only have one narrative to tell, but when people like you regurgitate the official narrative over and over while sitting on your high horse, well its quite comical to say the least. Honestly, We’ve heard it all before and it doesn’t make it any less ridiculous.

But the point is… Dont accuse the masses of pakistanis of being politically ‘ignorant’ when they are genuinely not; but esp dont if you are an american/westerner who swallows the given line…You have no justification in pointing fingers at others..What..so… ever!

Secondly; find an alternative news source. Your msm only has one narrative, and that is generally paid for. You are not a free country, as much as you like to espouse. Your media has is not free either.

Personally I would recommend rt.com and guardian. Al Jazeera english has some good opinion pieces and documentary, but i dont thing its as independent as it used to be since the king took over himself. They may be a quite a few out there; you just need to make the effort!!

sorry for disappointing you…I am born and raised Pakistani from Lahore.. lol..and no i don’t listen much of American media…i read over 5 urdu and English pakistani newspapers almost everyday (dawn, express tribune, jang, dunya and express urdu) and i do watch Pakistani news channels..as well as BBC and Al-Jazeera..I mean i do, I am not making it up…

and yes American masses are ignorant…but they are not in denial mode..they are just ignorant…

and by your admission Pakistani masses are much more “knowledgeable” ..hey I agree but they are in denial mode for everything…that is worst..to be knowledgeable but keep denying everything

the whole world is doing a conspiracy against them…911 was fake…Bombay attack was a conspiracy…osama was never in pakistan.. his killing was a staged drama… taliban are american agents…suicide bombers are American and Indian agents…malala was an american agenet…pakistani cricketers were targeted in match fixing so that pakistan cannot win the world cup… this denial model is getting a bit disgusting to be honest bro!

start thinking logically…dont bring God/divine into everything … for God/divine sake!
