Very true. current issue of target killing is not being handled in any of the dramas and hats off to Sarmad for dealing with the matter in this drama. I like the way he captured 'wall chalkings' in Karachi.

I am surprised that more ppl aren't discussing this brilliant drama. Strong script by sarmad sehbai and effortless direction by sarmad sultan. Highly recommended to those who are sick of the OTT tv shows airing these days. I really love the OST by rahat fateh ali. very moving!

ive been watching it and so far its really good
also i disagree with the people who think the girl is trying to go from rags to riches using short cuts.

also love her english language delivery in the drama! =)

^ are you still watching this? such shockers in the past few episodes, especially the reveal about chaand bhai's family. I feel so bad for him and his sister. This drama is such a poignant social commentary by Sehbai sb. The harsh realities and struggles of the lower-middle class. but at no point does it get overwhelming and unrealistic like sarmad sultan's other drama humsafar.

just caught up with it online, i agree i am surprised its not being talked about more. very strong script and story, with powerful performances by everyone especially tipu and neelam munir, although i am getting kinda sick of seeing noman ejaz playing all these creepy philandering roles these days in every drama, he is such a great artist, disappointed to see him so limited, he is starting to look and sound the same everywhere now.

definitely another feather in sarmad khoosat's cap! this could have made for a great movie as well...sarmad should move on to the big screen now.

What channel is this coming on? What time and day? Is Sarmad khoosat the same as Sarmad sultan? Sarmad khoosat is the same director as pani Jaisa pyar and Humsafar? I think I like him better than baber javed . Overexposure can kill an actors career. I think the best thing about fawad khan is he is selective about his project.....unlike the other main leads Fahad, Faisal qureshi, and syed jibran. Even Noor hussan, is too overexposed. I don't like his bland acting. Faisal is really good but lacks
the star looks of fawad khan.

I am hoping that geo and art start producing quality plays again. I hated the javeria and saud plays. Yet we're ok in the beginning but turned into garbage.

Its being aired from geo tv on every thursday 8:30 p.m. Sarmad Sultan Khoosat (Pani Jaisa Pyar, Humsafar) is the director of this drama.

this is one excellent drama going on so far.....everyone is acting really well...i am impressed with neelam munir....sarmad's direction is brilliant...i was disappointed with his work in humsafar but here with jal pari he is excellent.....also this is the first time i have seen nadia afgan in a low class role and she is doing a fab job....plus mahjabeen is very good too in that low class role......lol i love miss sheikh...hahaha.....and the ost is amaaaaaazing.....nice vocals by rahat and very good composition by farrukh and shoaib.....good job guys keep it up.

I will start watching this drama. Jal pari Humsafar is really good but I was not impressed with last episode. Fawads acting is really flat now....Mahira is impressive...maybe it's because Asher is being a jerk. Also I wasn't impressed with the way Hareem meets her father. I heard that it was done much better in the novel.

so great to see this thread finally being revived. This is the only decent drama Geo has ever aired other than Doraha. there are scenes that are hard hitting and almost revelatory. I loved the scene where Chand bhai recites some sufi kalam and the feelings it evokes in Munniya. One could delve quite deep into the commentary it makes about teh superficiality of glamourous lifestyles, education and careers while your average person on the street has probably more of an idea of what life and love is all about.
overall the story, dialogues, acting, direction is top notch and whoever asked whether this deserves a chance against humsafar, hell yes. Take away the good looking lead from humsafar and you are left with a shoddy script, average dialogues and uninspiring characters. But I guess don't have enough guts to say that in front of the humsafar brigade :)
