Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Starting this from October 13th from Geo TV… seems interesting

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

looks promising..

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

looks nice

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Why do they need to show the skin of girl, just to increase the rating of drama.

Why the girl can't wear Shalwar kameez or jeans on the beach, does it has effect on the story line?

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

I don't really like this girl :/

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Neelam Munir. She did a pretty good job in 'Qaid e Tanhai'. Hope Sarmad can make her act as per character's requirement.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

neelum munir....she isnot wow but is a good actress....i first saw her in 'tum mere ho' and found her acting annoying...but now she is coming in lost of dramas and in all of them she is playing her roles very well...baddy roles zaida achay karti hai.

this new drama 'jal pari' looks good.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

neelam is improving by every drama, not really a huge fan of her though... watched 3 epi. of humsafar and im already a fan of naveen. Both are beautiful but acting wise naveen is better imo

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Naveen is a good addition to new lot of actresses who can act, but we have to wait for her next projects to compare her with others. I think Sanam Saeed (Daam / Mera Naseeb) is most promising from the new lot.

Re: Sarmad Sultan’s new drama ‘Jal Pari’

^ thats true :k:

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

looks good, finally something interesting from geo, apart from the dolly ki barat series their dramas have been really bad lately. i like neelam munir, she is pretty talented, like her in 'umme kulsoom'. really good to see directors FINALLY taking new people as leads! thats what i love about sarmad khoosat, he never keeps repeating the same old leads in his dramas, unlike babar javed and others, amina sheikh is really good but im getting tired of seeing her in every baber javed drama, she is sounding the same now. i hope haissam doesn't do the same for sanam baloch now.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Good to see Neelum Munir coming out from Baber Javed's shadow and in a lead role.
I am not a fan of Geo Projects. The last two were just tedious and I couldn't make myself watch the whole thing. I hope this is not another "Bol meri machli"

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

^ I certainly hope not!! Sarmad is a brilliant director. would hate to see him take on a mediocre project. btw I loved his cameo appearance in the first episode.

Re: Sarmad Sultan’s new drama ‘Jal Pari’

Loved the concept and execution by Sarmad. Love to see how he shot different places of old Karachi. Neelam is doing good job so far, but Mahjabeen (playing elder sister is amazing)

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

^very different role of mahjabeen, Like the story. and that little kid, dont know his name but he is so talented m'A!

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

Yes he is a talented kid. He is also in 'Ek hatheli pe hina ek hatheli pe lahoo'.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

^ the kid is a brilliant actor!! loved his acting in ramchand pakistani!! so believable and heart wrenching.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

just started watching. going good so far. another drama abt a girl who wanna get rich using short cuts but still good.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

fazal's death was one depressing scene. :(

drama going excellent.

Re: Sarmad Sultan's new drama 'Jal Pari'

This is one of the best dramas on air currently and am surprised it is not being discussed by more people. I love how all the characters have shades of gray to them and that the playwright and the director refrain from petty sermonizing or a judgemental approach in general. Plus they have touched upon the issue of target killing which to my knowledge no drama has to date. As someone else has mentioned, at a casual glance, it may seem like yet another rags to riches story of an ambitious young girl yet it is through the character of the girl that the vulnerability and character flaws of men are revealed rather than those traits being intrinsically embedded in the girl's character. Simply put she is merely exploiting their weaknesses and learning the tricks of the trade than being inherently evil and conniving. And yes speaking with an American twang and frequenting the party scene is necessary for social ascensions and the drama makes no bones about it.

The baby brother's death was heartbreaking and hats off to the team for handling it with such sensitivity. The death of a child is the single most heartbreaking phenomenon known to mankind and there's reason even gory, in-your-face-violent Hollywood flicks will shirk from showing it. Now this is what I called a truly bold move!
