Do any of you know of someone who sells saris or shalwar kameez from home in or around east London?
I would really appreciate it if you could let me know…
I’m looking for a sari to wear to a wedding and i’ve already checked out Green street and Ilford lane.

Sorry - I don't know of anyone who sells from home.But I usually get all my saris from Wembley - Venilal or RCKC or Variety Silk House.They all do gorgeous stuff and I end up getting 3 or 4 in one go :)You could also check out Southall - though I dont really find anything different there.Let me know if you need anything else.

I love indian saris....I saw this saree on Green St the other day....bottle green with some beautiful work on it....fully worked blouse and work on just the borders of the saree in antique gold...somewhat like the saris that r on benzerworld.....BUT it was like £ 250 or something....:(

I ordered a saree once from ebay, bollywood designs. It cost me a 100 bucks, and I was not expecting something extraordinary because of the low price. The saree exceeded my expectations. The work done was beautiful, and quality very very good. I have been wanting to order a shalwar kamiz from that lady, but she doesn't have many nice ones. Her sarees are good though, so you should check her ebay store out. And I believe she does business from home.

100 bucks for a sari sound pretty reasonable, its not a low price.
