If it’s a good, flowy fabric, it can minimize the bulk around the hip area.

Just, please, make sure your blouse is fitted properly! too many ppl think saree blouse is just a short kameez, it’s NOT…it has to be fitted like a bra…A loose fitting kameez is okay, but a loose fitting saree blouse looks sloppy and ill fitting.

Women of all shapes and size can wear it but the material has to be right and the fit. Make sure the blouse fits you perfectly, no loose sleeves, shoulder area or anything. If you are on the heavier side, avoid stiffer material like banarsi. Go for chiffon like material that is lighter.

See the saris Aishwarya wears? Notice the material is chiffon/georgette/lace? It will look very classy

What to avoid? The bulky saris that Rekha or Vidya Balan wear.
