Women of all shapes and size can wear it but the material has to be right and the fit. Make sure the blouse fits you perfectly, no loose sleeves, shoulder area or anything. If you are on the heavier side, avoid stiffer material like banarsi. Go for chiffon like material that is lighter.
So I got myself saree for the first time, its quite elegant and really want to wear it for atleast once, but the problem is I'm only 5'2 and have pear shaped body, I'm confused wud it look nice as I've got huge butt/bum and really hate it, Do u guys think saree look nice on curvy girls.
yhh itl luk good .. but yhh hav the blouse fitted propa .. n the restwill jus fit in ..
n dnt worry butt wont luk big ..
i jus wore one last week n loved it .. i wan more saris .. lol ..
I've tried on a sari once its long, flowy fabric made me feel graceful, take fabric into consideration I don't like the bulky stiff fabric and I also think it will be fine on any figure, although I never wore it anywhere I was hesitant too because similarly I didn't feel tall enough either but once I wore it, it actually ended up looking quite nice, I was surprised....I am 5'5 though and slim but not not skinny. My advice is just wear it! I think our bodies always look disproportionate in our minds....
I just Loveeeeeeeeeeeeee sarees… and I have been told everytime, it looks best on me..!
I think you should wear it.. it will look good especially with a 5 inch heel
sarees are made for women with curves....not super skinny ones...they jus look like they are wrapped in 6m of fabric...where a curvy woman carrys a saree with class!
Traditionally speaking, there are over 80 different ways of wearing a Saree!
Its a miconception that only girls with bums and boobs look good in it or its the slim and slender that rock the look.
No matter what your shape, size or height is, as long you have the perfectly fitted blouse and know how drape the saree properly, anyone can look good in saree. The curvy ones can easily achieve the tall and slender look while slim girls can literally create curves, it all depends how you wear.
