When saraikis say JUL their accent sounds different not like the actual word JUL

Re: Saraiki Words

Does some body knows how people from Jhang speak Saraiki? their dialect is so different and words too.

Re: Saraiki Words

I know Urdu or Punjabi speaking people can’t apprehend that sound. Sindhi can :stuck_out_tongue: Jhul (the sounds came from within unlike J sound which came from lips)

Re: Saraiki Words

I think Jhang's Saraiki is influenced by Balochi as the are is connected with border areas Bhakkar and Layya

Re: Saraiki Words

Tu akheer cha keeti :hehe: You are right.

People from Layyah do have their own dialect.

Sunshine is called Chitka for Layyah people. lol

What do you call Female/Aurat in SIndhi?

Re: Saraiki Words

Female is Za’ifan in typical Sindhi.. some call it Mai too :omg:

Re: Saraiki Words

They call it Mai in Saraiki too :omg: and run, zanani.

Layyah people call female Taraymtaynr, I was quite surprised when I heard this.

Re: Saraiki Words

:omg: female seem to be from another planet in Layya. Taraymtaynr :hayaa: I also heard old ladies in Sindh referring to female as Runna Zaala, Zaala Zaat :hehe:

Re: Saraiki Words

Re: Saraiki Words

How do you say are you eating now?

Re: Saraiki Words

Yes I believe so, like the hindko of kohistan (KP).

Re: Saraiki Words

Main khana wanj saan?

Re: Saraiki Words

The language of jhang is also called jaangli. :) I like that accent though, but its looks more like feudal kind. One of my aunt speaks in that accent.

Yet, Jaangli is a derivative of saraiki. Its interesting to listen to, though.

Rohi rut rangilari....
