So a friend of mine has a very potential Saraiki proposal in hand. She is Punjabi from Lahore!
Just wanted to know, how Saraiki people are in general, there cuisines, lifestyle, Etc.
Is it hard for a Punjabi girl to settled down with Saraiki guy?
Is there any Saraiki Guppy on GS who can actually help me out answering few questions. Also how about their weddings, Any traditions thing they particularly do which Punjabi don’t?
Ya Allah! Ek tu kesi ne reply nai kia. ager mushkil sey ek do lougo ne kiya bhi tu not what exactly I was looking for. I wanted to know in general what are the difference? Many like what?
I personally dont think there are many differences, it depends if the guy is from rural or urban areas. And that divide is there even in Punjabi areas.
As much as I have observed in Punjabis and Saraikis settled in Karachi, not much of a difference apart from the languages. And when it comes to the languages, Punjabi has its own charms but I find Saraiki more pleasant to the ears. :)
The local punjabi people are not very fond of giving their daughters to saraiki people. But as others have pointed out if both the families are living in Lahore and urbanised then it wont be much of an issue.
I am Saraiki, there is not much of a difference apart from the languages & accents. The wedding traditions are same as Punjabi culture. A lot of Punjabi people have got married to Saraikis and due to this the culture has got mixed and a Punjabi getting married to a Saraiki is not a new thing anymore.

achchhaa...wow! ahaaN...can you say "maiN bhii ek saraiki huN...aapko pataa chal gayaa na?" in both Punjabi N Saraiki so i could see the difference, please! thankoo :)
Punjabi aisi language hai jo hr 50 miles pe apna andaz badalti hai
Hr 50 miles pe iska bolne ka style change ho jata hai
So start frm upper areas niche ate jaein ye change hoti jaegi
Jb aap south punjab tk pohnchtey hain tou wo saraiki bn chuki hoti hai
Kehne ki baat ye hai k Punjabi n Saraikiz mein koi khas farq ni hain, they r same actualy
Shayd Ilaqayi ya regional differences hain jo imp ni hain
But jo me janta hun kisi ki burayi ni kr raa , I hv a lots of saraiki frnz , but wht I knw is they usualy dnt like Punjabiz cuz of partition n all jis ka talluq politics se hai.
Specialy the marriage topic, jb b is bare mein discussions huein kisi k sath b they say hm apni larkian punajbiz ko ni dete , punjabi hamein de dete hain !
Wese they are milnisaar gud caring ppl ,kch b farq ni hai na khano mein na gano mein ;) so when u r saying v potential rishta tou that wud b v nice.

**
Main v hik Saraiki haan, tuhako pata lag gay na **= Saraiki
Yeh, I will say go for him. Saraikis give respect a lot to a girl/boy from other culture. She will get respect and value too. The food is same as Punjabis. Saraikis are a bit strict when it comes to parda like punjabis get mixed up girls/boys on weddings but it was time ago now they have become more fashionable n advanced . If the guy is from broad minded educated family, then there will be no problem at all. They say19/20 ka farq hai btw saraikis n pujabis.
My mumani is from lahore , pujabi girl got married to my saraiki mamu 20 years ago. Masha_Allah , they are the happiest couple. Her parents are so happy for giving their daughter to a saraiki. Indeed, they are looking for her other sister to get married in my family, they don't mind Saraikis.
Lol do any other ppl want to give their daughters to punjabis. Is it a thing that they're ghussay k tez and don't put up with crap from their wives or just what I've noticed? (b4 any punjabi ppl get offended ... I'm punjabi too, my hubby is not)
