I agree. Now all of a sudden they’re releasing information about a miscarriage. It’s like they are obviously cooking up one lie after another. They could have openly talked about this miscarriage 5 days ago, but no one ever mentioned it.

I don’t believe this girl. I am normally the feminist, but honestly, there are forces here at work that just want Pakistan to look like a source of perpetual sleezebuckets. Someone is paying Aisha/Maha’s family to spew out all this nonsense.

It is utterly ATROCIOUS that on such sketchy evidence they’ve taken away his rights to his passport, to back to his own country.

Even if he did sign some nikkahnama out of sheer pressure (she was telling him she was becoming badnaam in India, and that he should agree to a marriage soon), it was done over the phone and without him knowing who he was marrying. Makes no sense how this nikkah is valid. It was done over the phone and by Pakistani law, these nikkah’s are invalid.

  2. What I find weird is why and how he didn’t end it earlier. That makes no sense either.

  1. Pictures of the two together - either they’re fake pics, or he really was standing with her, but regardless, he says that he was under the impression this woman was his wife (mythical Aisha)'s older sister, who was constantly covering up for her “imaginary sister”.

I totally disagree with taking away his passport, throwing him into jail, etc. The Pakistani government should step up and make this an international issue, that on what sketchy evidence are they charging this boy.

It is not entirely implausible that this is a crazy woman with mental health issues and that her family is in the mindset of basically robbing this guy of millions to settle an issue they created in the first place by conning him.

This should serve a lesson to ALL PAKISTANI FAMILIES. You get married in India to an Indian family, you are exposing yourself to fraud and this is clearly what India’s government will do to you.

How scary is it to get married to some “nice Indian girl”, and then get falsely accused of abuse or something and then the Indian government arrest you, steal your passport, and prosecute you under this ridiculous law of theirs???

Any sane person would figure out that Siddqiui family is lying even by this one incident of Pakistani team visiting their home and for some mysterious reason, Ayesha Siddiqa was not at home to meet Pakistani Cricket Team.

For shoaib, he should not hide/lie. Tell everyone what the truth is. He has strong case here...

That’s an unfair generalization over an incident that has all the markings of an anomaly. I know of many happily married couples with transborder connections. You’d find people like the Siddiquis even in Pakistan. The lesson here is not about getting married in India... but about not rushing into things when it comes to an important decision like marriage – or even legal documents that should only be signed with the involvement of legal counsel.

Very true, Indian marriage laws favor the girls, a married girl can put her husband and his whole family in jail with just one complaint and that too with non bailaible warrant. Many educated girls have used these twisted laws to harass in-laws..... Tawa garam karke , Siddiquis apni rotian sake rahe hain...lol

Mirza family has good political connections in Andhra, so possiblity of shoaib going to jail is a little less....but you never know....if Indias womens rights activists stand behind Siddiquis, phir to Shoaib ki kahir nahin

His mother wasn't too keen on the marriage, but he was so smitten by the other girl.. and ONE thing i'll give Ayesha/Maha, she had a nice voice.

Shuaib sent a notice to the nautanki Siddiqui's, he clearly said that they're upto no good because everytime he wants to meet her they hide her or she hides herself. He discovered that the nikkahnama was fake and she signed it with the name "Maha" when her real name is "Ayesha".

Now she says..Shuaib paid her a hefty sum to keep her silence..? yawn we all know who the blood-sucking, greedy leeches are.

For the people that bring Islam in, where does it say deception is a one-way ticket to jannah? Tarnishing someone's image is acceptable, accusing without much proof? Fooling someone into nikkah?

I thought her real name is Maha, but she was telling him she was Ayesha. Does the nikkahnama say Ayesha or Maha? In other words, does the nikkahnama contain the fake or real name?

If it contains the fake name, even more grounds that it is an invalid nikkahnama and that the Indian government has NO RIGHT to detain him.

You can't take someone to court for having married an imaginary person.

PCG, Whenever I have heard Ayesha on TV, there is somethign very wrong with her! she changes statements so easily and then starts crying.. full drama queen.

I Saw sania's interview with Geo's team.. long before this marriage hoopla happened. and I thought wow, what a decent girl. She seemed like a totally sane, in control and modest girl.. Its Shoaib Malik we all worry more about cuz he is more than likely to screw it up.

but I wish both of them well.. hope it all works out and they laugh about all this in near future ;)
