hey lady, you wouldn’t find them through Swarovski.
the place i’m talking about is called Ambient Enterprises. they are wholesalers and sell a lot of swarovskis, semi precious stones and pearls, and located at hwy 7 and main street in markham. you need a vendor permit to purchase wholesale though- so if you know someone who has a business, you can ask them if you can use their vendor permit. last time i checked, those were the prices, but this was a couple of years ago… it might even have been more than 500 crystals for $90… call them and find out? the only stipulation was that they be one size, one shape, and one color of crystals, i.e. you couldn’t mix and match within that price/quantity.

Sara Shahid came out with self-embossed jamawar and it's really pretty! I've never really seen any designer use lace in their lehnga's though...it wud look really nice! I plan on stealing chanda_kh's soon...

SGC, they call it self-printed jamawar..embossed is slightly "raised" it was very nice..Rizwan Beyg once made a gorgeous lace lehnga..

for me, for lace to be pretty, it must be a light color- white, ivory, champagne, gold- or just gothic and beautiful in black.

I think gals shouldn't be spending too much money on these things, go to Pakistan and see how poor people are, they can't even buy two times Roti in a day for the family. In my recent visit to Pakistan I visited so many of these so called high quality shops and they sell non-sense stuff at high price because rich people go by the price not by the quality and because of those people today Pakistan is in financial crunch. Those people don't know from where their dad, mom, brother or husband brings that much money, (is it from drugs, rishwat or from another source). I talked to one girl selling these ready made clothes at very nice shop, when asked she pointed out at one dress and said 38,000 and I can get 40% off, later when she found out that I am from Canada, she said actually the sale was over yesterday so the final price is 38,000 and if you final the dress then I can ask baji to give you 1000 less. They are paying 1.25 lakh rent for the store and when I asked that girl how they afford that much just towards the rent she said baji need just few "customers" to make for the rent because the profit on some suites are up to 80%. I normally do clothes shopping for my wife because I am a photographer and how the colors, beauty, and the situations. Where ever I did shopping for her I was able to bargain, because business is slow all over Pakistan and everyone trying to survive.
My friend Haider has his own factory of producing these high quality dresses and he supply to several locations in lahore and export to UK also, he also had dress show in london I think last year. Therefore I know how much he supply the dresses for and how much profit store poeple ads-on top of that, another thing all those stores say that they have their own facility where they design and produce this but this is not true and they will never take you to their design and production facility.
All gals dream to be very beautiful on the wedding day but it doesn't mean that they hide behind the heavy makeup and dress, another reason is that it is not for too many hours... and then it is history. Gals should be what they are and how they are from deep inside. That is what makes you real beautiful.
Visit around different markets and check several shops and I am sure you can find very good dress in which you will look great.
Also there are so many makeup parlors and check those unnamed ones, because I know there used to be one in liberty, that lady was very good several years ago and I dont know if she is there anymore or moved from there, her name was I think Kokab, she was well educated and learned this from the USA.
If beauty parlor lady attitude is good then only she can be good because doing makeup is not the job for some bad attitude or stupid girl. Ask them if they come to your house to do the makeup and do not pay them until they are finished with the job. Tell them exactly what you want and keep telling/ordering them to do so because you are paying them, if you show them that you dont know about the makeup then they takeover you and try to make you fool and do makeup in hurry and will not do the tiny biny things, same goes with when you buy dresses or order to make custom dresses. I was at one store I think owned by the lady and she was not even talking right with their employee's and employee girls was kind a scared to talking to her owner lady with confidence, I noticed this when entered the store and I was able to handle that lady owner very well when I offered her if she bargain then I can buy this and this dress, initially she said their prices are set and cannot be reduced, when I said I am in the market to buy the stuff and I know the prices and have checked some other stores and have some stuff on holed, now it is her decision to sell me on the price that I offered and I dont have much time and will leave the store in few minutes, she took couple of minutes and then sent her employee to me and said madam said she will negotiate and will charge the price what I had offered earlier.
Same goes for the photographer (even though I am a pro Photographer) you should sit with him/her and explain what you want and what is wedding theme and how you wana look in the pics and then photographer will tell you what he can do and what he can't and what else can be done. This way the ending result will be excellent.
You are paying to the photographer, parlor, dress maker, decor, and to the cook, they all should act the way you want it because you selected them and paying them to do the work, they can add their expertiese to the work and your demands but none of the above can deny to do what you have asked them to do
You need good photographer, it is not that small shop photographer doesn't take good pics. It is because they dont have the latest Cameras (because they are very expensive and these guys were not charging a lot before and now they dont have money to keep up with the new gadgets) even though they are in the business for so many years and these days doing photoshop work on pics is kind a requirement and those some of those photographers dont know how to run computers otherwise Haneef and Majeed Photogrphers in Model Town have done so many very high level weddings and their results were at that time very good. Recently I attended one wedding and the photographer there was very experienced, doesn't have big enough studio and makes on- site studio either girls or boys house. He took pictures and the result was excellent, he charged I think around 10-12000 with several prints. I saw him doing the shoot and he was very nice with the bride and groom and spent lots of time with them to take pictures.
check the prices and you can guess for those swarovski crystals and figure out how much you can put on the dress and also can those people who are selling dresses for 8 lakhs give you guaranty that it is returnable and it is the real stuff. In our markets you buy something and go back after 5 minutes (if you have a complaint or want to change the color), they will refuse to accept that you bought that dress from them and will refuse to recognize you.

I think we all should spend less on weddings help the needy people. Gals who have lots of money should have marriage budget like this
For example if you have 100, 000 rupees budget for wedding
1- spending on wedding 50,000
2- to Shoukat Khanam Hospital 25,000
3- for Sadqah 10,000
4- feed the needy and misc. 15,000
spending what is necessary for wedding and donating the rest will make you more beautiful from inside and out and your relations and respect will be ever lasting.
sorry for the long detail but some of you will like some lines and thoughts I typed above
^one thing i really hate is when people start talking about donations and helping the poor and needy when others are talking about having a grand and beautiful wedding. its wrong to assume that people that have a lavish affair dont give money to the poor. in my humble opinion, if people are making the money, they are usually working hard for it and it is really up to them on how they want to spend it. i agree that people should help the poor but that doesnt mean a person should that makes say $2 million/ yr first sees their money in the US go to taxes which in that case be 40% so ur left with 1.6 mil and then if u wanna spend $100k on a wedding, u should give $50k to the poor. everything should be done reasonably. some people would definitely give half their paycheck or more to charities and some would choose to give the minimal amount as prescribed in islam. some people like having a grand wedding with their hard earned money and its no ones business telling them how to spend their money.
in addition, i do agree with you that you're the one spending the money so u should tell people exactly what u want. except people in paksitan will tell u that they can give u exactly what u want and they will probably be clueless about it.
