Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Oo Pheleez, thats slander! Apple has always been protective of their intellectual property.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Just fyi,

My 6 year old: Papa when are you getting the S3?
TLK: Why, you don’t like my iPhone?
Kido: Umm no dad, mom’s phone is way cooler.
TLK: Oh now mine isn’t too bad either.
Kido: Yes it is papa. You really need to get a phone like mama’s.

So before bed, I asked her why she liked my phone better and she says: because your phone has so much more stuff to do!

Even 6 year old kids know the difference :chai:. Just sayin’!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

For the sake of all the samsung galaxy fans, I hope Apple does not run out of ideas.... just sayin too ;)

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

customization shaping up nicely… data transferred, most apps installed (except ones needing rooted platform… will wait until my 15 days return period is over).

here are some screenshots - love the palm swipe screenshot feature! :k: :k:

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

^^ cool!

Yes the palm swipe feature is pretty awesome isn't it?
I've had my phone almost a month now and I'm still not done customizing 100%. Every time I think I'm done, I discover more options :D!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Niksik / Tofi,

Are you guys using a launcher? The reason I ask is cuz I'd like to customize icons/labels for the apps ... but I quite like the touchwiz launcher, Any suggestions?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

^^ LC, try Nova Launcher for a Stock Android look, you can customize it whatever way you want.

Apex Launcher is always good, try both

You can have multiple launchers installed at the same time and chose whatever you want.

If you want a pure Android experience with lots of customization wait till CM10 is stable or even RC.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

I just use TouchWiz. Haven’t tried any other. It’s pretty neat, but I don’t have experience with any other. I like how you can customize your icons on the lock screen.

Having said that, I need to change my home screen :hmmm:

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Another thing I really like on the S3 is the Task Manager. I love cleaning up and this does it so well.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

They got the Butter part working with Build #10 and the build #11 has half HW composition working, its progressing rapidly, am pretty sure that within a week you will have first beta or minimum a stable alpha.

My new screenshot

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Oh my eyes, for a better clock/weather widget try Andoid Weather :)

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Hhaha! Yes, doesn't this just pop at you and kill ya? :D

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Niksik, are you using a different calendar app than the stock “S Planner” (what a stupid name)?

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

LC, I use Google Calendar, then I have the Tasks Free app for quick reminders, all synced to the default Calendar on the phone. I do most of my calendar management via my laptop but with the Tasks app I jot down to do lists with due date/time/reminder settings. Then I have a task manager app called Astrid Tasks which I am really liking. It has way more than just calendar options but notifies you of missed calls, etc as well (with a bit of humor and sarcasm)!

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

^ looks like you're using the default "S-Planner" app but your carrier has renamed it to "Calendar". I've synced my Google Calendar to it and it's working fine, but being the OCD I am, I don't like the label of the app and want to rename it.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S III Club @ GS

Yes. It has been renamed to Calendar. I prefer it to S Planner as well :hehe:! S Planner takes your mind wayyy somewhere else.
