I have a question! Even though I have a Note not a G3, I figure this will be the same…
How do you set an avatar photo in the Contacts list? I go to edit an click on the empty silhouette thingee, and choose a photo and click to set/save it, but it never happens. Is it because the photo is too big? Is it because it is a png and needs to be a jpg or something?

Works for me but you can try going to gallery and selecting a picture and set as contact icon.

I know what the problem was now: I was trying to use a pic direct from dropbox. By going to Gallery, it worked!

I’ve never tried using a picture from dropbox but it should still work. Well at least gallery pics work.

Don’t know what that happened for you, but if you’re in Contacts, select “ME” and try to edit ur profile picture, you get both Gallery and Dropbox options to select a picture from.
But anyway, it’s done, so good :D!

Well, maybe it was because it was a png then. The gallery has jpgs.

Yes I tried uploading a png file into my profile but it was giving me an error. Maybe that’s what it was.

OMG I’m finally and officially part of the S3 club! 
D I got a white and my dad got the blue. Now he wants my white one - I said no thanks dad keep your blue one.

is it true that the S3 is waterproof? someone told me you can drop it in a bucket of water and it’ll come out ok. cdg, have you tried this yet?

Nope and won’t be trying it either. 
Although I walked in the rain today (it was only sprinkling) and my phone is fine.

Make sure you keep it dry. Get some waterproof protection (nomesayin’?)
