It’s not just a phone or a tablet.
It is the next-gen ‘phablet’ supposed to be out soon, don’t know when exactly. Some sites say later this month, some say later in the year.

Rumors on the features:

  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • New form factor
  • 12-megapixel camera
  • Quadcore processor
  • 5.5-inch display (with 1680 x 1050 resolution)
  • Super AMOLED display (Niksik has no idea what that means, but it must be good)
  • Flexible screen

HTC is also coming up with a 5" device.

All of a sudden my darling, S3 seems so small :smiley: (I still love it though). Anyone thinking of getting this phablet?

Oh wait, I just found out the S3 has that Super AMOLED display...which means richer contrast :D!

I think it looks really sleek but its HUGE! I wonder if the Note 2 will be bigger? Is there really a market if phones THAT big?

oh yeah..they have a market alright…every time I watch Korean dramas…they have all these crazy gadgets…including the samsungs…they seemt o love it…

so I think East Asia would be their biggest market..

That sucker is huge! A coworker has the Samsung Note… we put it side by side with the s3 & my iPhone 4s…it looked like Shrek next to my phone :cb:

and it has a proper pressure sensitive display for taking notes easily with a stylus, i hear?

^^ I have similar feelings, especially after I played with someone's Note 2 yesterday. I even had very sweet dreams about it last night, me and Notey together, going for a walk.... :/

Guys , its your money and you have every reason to throw it away, but take my advice. Do not buy any gadget that comes with stylus. Stylus is so 1995. And in case of Note 2, the stylus would cost you $70 if you misplace it. Its not your regular cheap piece of plastic. It has sensors in it.
