Love it!

Steve Jobs hated stylus, and because of that hate, we see Iphone and Ipad (and the band wagon jump-inners). Going back to stylus is like traveling back in time when it comes to smart gadgets.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
but this stylus plus screen adds an extra functionality the previous stylus didnt.
i wonder how they ensure the stylus is never lost though. i can see myself losing a tiny danda like that in a week.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
You know you don’t need the stylus - you could just use your finger tips. I think it’s meant for ease of use but I agree I don’t like styluses as they are easy to lose. I’d much rather use my finger(s).

Exactly - losing it would be a nuisance.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
You need the stylus for the Note 2. It has special sensors that your fingers don't (yet). CDG, it is much like our S3, except that it has a few more features. Look at the video when you get a chance.
Queer, that's about right, the shopping list of yours.
TLK, sometimes you need to bring in technology from previous years and modify it. Your DS has a stylus too. This isn't an ordinary stylus. If a toothpick could do the job then I'd call it redundant technology.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
OMG, you actually said it, that we “throw away money” when we buy gadgets!!! How could you??? ![]()
And just so you’d know I never had any problems with styluses. I still have my gadgets (including a WinXP UMPC) and love the handwriting feature there.

Oh ya I did watch it...that's why I said its very similar...but of course has some new features. I didn't realize the stylus was performing additional tasks so I guess its a must. Can't get away with just using fingers. :/
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Here are some reviews of the Note (not Note 2):
Living with the Galaxy Note: Thoughts After 5 Days - YouTube
Samsung Galaxy Note: 1 Month Later (Review) - YouTube
Samsung Galaxy S III vs. Samsung Galaxy Note Dogfight Part 1 - YouTube
I don’t use the stylus much, but it stays very securely in its little port and doesn’t fall out. I am not an artist, so I haven’t used the drawing potential of it.
One thing about the Galaxy Note2 is that the original Note has higher resolution screen.
Pretty much everyone who has seen it in action has said, “I gotta get one of those next time I get a phone!” Heck, I did!
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
you forgot to mention - it comes unlocked. :p
jk jk dont kill me
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Ok, i bought one, its the international version with Exynos Quad, brief review
**Pros: **
Amazing display, even better than SIII (it has a proper RGB pixel arrangement), arguably the best display on any smartphone (until Sharp’s IGZO displays comes)
Excellent performance, never had any lags, never hanged, its been one week, never had a restart.
The S-Pen is much better than the Not I (Bro in law has a Note I, so i can compare). There are more pressure points (almost double than the Note I). And it is useful for taking notes.
Comes with Android Jellybean and all the jellybean features like GoogleNow, Expandable Notifications etc.
Great Battery life (it has a 3100 mAh Battery), easily lasts more than a day of moderately heavy usage.
Great camera, similar to S III
Cons:
The size, the size, the damn size, its hard to use it as a phone, i might use it as a tablet only for surfing the web and some casual gaming. The problem is the width, not height, you can’t grab it with one hand (i am 6 foot, i still finds its large for one handed operation)
S-Pen, its good for 10 inch tablet, not much use on a 5.5 inch phone.
Final Words:
I will stick with my Galaxy nexus for a day to day phone, its the perfect size (same as S III), if you already have a S III, there are not much to gain with Note II except the slightly bigger and better screen and S Pen, if you are looking for a new phone and has a big hand, go for it, its the best smartphone hardware i have ever used.
Pics
Size comparison with Galaxy Nexus, this pic is taken with a ****ty Blackberry camera, i will upload better pics later (at work now)
Pic from Gnex
P.S: If anyone want me to test anything on the phone or want to compare the size with another phone let me know.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
It's funny that you say it is too big to use as a phone, when a "real" phone (as in the kind with a curly cord attaching the handset to the base) is way bigger. Then came cordless phones the size of walkie-talkies. As phones got smaller and smaller, it was weird to hold a tiny thing to your ear and there was no mouthpiece near your mouth -- it didn't seem like one was speaking into anything. So it is all about what you get used to. I don't even think about it.

He definitely meant too big too hold as a phone. Those old rotary phones were big, but easy to hold.

LOL.

There is a famous saying that goes like this: "When you have nothing to say, say nothing."

Never heard of it
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Now you did. :)
Correction: If you have nothing to say, say nothing. By Mark Twain.
Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 2
I mean it's pretty obvious what he meant by saying it's too big, but to each their own.
