Err…no. When I said “paindu” , it was referring to the foolish persistence of her in-laws. The Punjabi accent in Urdu…not too crazy about it. Also, accent is one aspect of a culture…whereas by saying “punjabi=paindu”…you’ve labeled the whole group and that could be perceived as even more offensive. And you’re putting words in my mouth, which is also offensive. Tsk tsk. Heck I don’t like Southern accents either…especially strong ones…but my feelings about one thing doesn’t define the individual of that culture as a whole.
